Delay in Delivery of Approved Visas

In mumbai, my wife got an approval for cr1 on june 23. They told she will get the visa in 1.5 weeks

I had selected pick up location of blue dart (bcoz there was no option of providing a home address) while making the biometric appointment

Does anyone know how to change this location so I can get the passport delivered to her home?

Or Is there a way to authorize another person to do the pickup

Thanks!

Hi,

I doubt you can change the delivery location to the home address. As per the info on the below link, it will be sent to one of the pickup locations from where it has to be collected. You can however change the pickup location as mentioned in this link.

Does anyone know what the "six regional offices," are? This is an obvious source of the questioning about what posts are up (50 total) (but not specifically listed in the 1-44 what about 45, 46, 47, 48, 49 and 50) and issuing Visas. Several responses to this question have been to point us to the system update, can we not be obtuse and actually try and address the question instead of mimicking the behavior of the bureaucrats that have already frustrated so many of us.

MONTREAL looks like it's beginning to move. My friend went from READY to ISSUED today. Fingers crossed we'll soon get that status.

I checked out this post and there are some facts they are stating that are at odds with the actual http://travel.state.gov/content/travel/english/news/technological-systems-issue.html. They state it is behind 700,000 visas but they are specifically saying this is not true on travel.state.gov and dept of state page. Also have added a lot of info about the actual number of visas that have already been released and specific timeline info now. Many visas have already been issued while they are stating on the above link that they won't be issued until the end of the month.

their interview like my hubby's was in May. Butin their case as in my hubby's were issued 221G for missing documents. My hubby provided his on 5/19 but with the delay in their off site mail clearing they have the date received as 5/29.. My friend's provided hers about a week later. So looks like they are going through their backlog but not sure in what order. My hope is that if you were in Ready or had already provided what they needed before their Technical issues changed their world and ours that those will be given priority...but who knows!!! Net net MTL appears to be issuing Immigrant Visas again :)V i we

Things are moving in Colombia. Yesterday, LopezGallo had a visa issued. Today me and my wife were fortunate enough to have her visa issued and printed.

Their interview was mid May. They sent in the missing docs in May and early June.
