Can I submit my VA Disabilty income in addition to my salary for my proof of income? It is not reflected on my tax transcripts and all I have for proof is the annual VA Awards letter with the monthly amount.

You can. While it may not be needed but a back up plan is to have a CPA draw up an Income Statement for all of your combined income you receive for each of the last three years. Also the Income Statement must have the word "Audited" at the top and signed by the CPA.

You will need to write a short letter explaining why the income was not reported on a tax return for that particular year. The letter is needed whether or not you also submit the Income Statement by the CPA. This is explained in the instructions for the form.

You can, attach the VA awards letter and wrote an explanation of why you didn't file taxes. That's what we had to do.

The embassy sees this situation enough to know how that portion of your income comes from that source. If there were to be a question it should come before the interview so you would have time to react to what they wanted.

In cases I have seen there was no problem in using this type of income when the petitioner did as U K_fan indicates.
