Hey people,

I'm new here, glad to see your experience shareing here, and thanks in advance for your kindly help.

I come from Asia, and I'm the slectee of Dv lottery 2016, my number is under 100. Because of the business trip to US in the end of June, I plan to submit DS 260 at begining of July. I would like to know does it would delay my interview in that case? And if it delay, when should it will be on schedule?

And another question is how long does it spend until you get 2nl after DS 260 submitted in generally? Does it have a certain time every month to aware of the 2nd notifications letters?

Please kindly let me know if my English make you confuse. And thanks again for your help.

You won't get any notification from kcc until your interview has been scheduled, which happens according to cased number. You will get around 6 weeks notice - for example this/next week, interview letters for August will go out.

Last year, kcc took around 4 months to process the DS260s, so yes if you have a low number (as you do) it will probably delay the interview if you only submit in July. It is quite possible that they will process faster this year but even down to 2 months means: submit July -> processed by September -> interview November or December.

They schedule the interview, it seems, in the first week of each month so if your DS is not completed processing by then it will go into the next month's scheduling round,
