i-751 Approved and pending ....mystery

Hi All:

I was approved last august by vermont service center, i did what I suppose to do like take that approval letter, picuters and your old card and do all finger printing and stamping in your password. Now after almost 6 months i am still waiting for my card. I called on 800 number and asked why i have not recieved my card yet, today i recieve letter that your application is pending what the hell wrong with these people. I visited 2 times immigration office for last 6 months no one told me that your application is pending. i just recently visited immigration office to transfer stamp from old passport to new passport. Lady checked every thing in computer and stamped my passport with IR6 and I-751 approved and my alien number. Before also i called them up and gave my all information that time they sent me letter stating that take this letter to your local office because we have not recieved I-89 yet and ask them status what happened with I-89. NOW another story. any body have idea what is wrong with these people. I have filed before this new system like you file i-751 and forget it no finger printing letter and all you will just get approval letter after first NOA. But now you get 2 NOA, first for extenstion of your card and another for Finger printing but i was approved before this new system implemention.

Do they keep I-751 pending until they get I-89 from local office?

I think they change your status on your A file but they wait for your I-751 until they have I-89.

Dont know...confused now i have made infopass appointment to check what is going on.
