Hello people old and new,

since I moved we were in a limbo and ecstasy and limbo and ecstasy :innocent: of getting everything done and getting life on track...

So I figure after more than 6 months it might be a good time for an update...

I am now dealing with about 100 screaming 10yo monsters daily, working as a teacher's aid in my stepson's school, I am also 17 weeks pregnant so we are busy decorating the baby's room and I am trying REALLY hard to not empty the baby clothes aisles

In retrospect, getting the work authorization was a waste of money because I had it for about a month before I got the GC and I only started working after getting the GC anyway, but you live you learn....

I have now been introduced to almost all of David's immediate family, there is still one elusive cousin I have yet to meet. They are great and it feels almost like home, with a bunch of people around most of the time.

The fact that prices don't show tax is still baffling, and I keep forgeting it  I can't remember how tall I am in the "new" measurements so I keep checking my driver's licence. I still haven't found decent chocolate in this funny country where everything is so terribly sweet.

But other than that, life is good...

I don't think I'll ever get over missing home, though (F)

Naturalized! Yeah!

Glad to hear that life is going wonderful for you! Congrats on the job and the new baby too! I teach grades 3-5 so I know about those 10 yo's too!

Congratulations on everything!

You must be so excited about the baby!

I don't think any of us will truly never miss home, however, I know that most of us would never regret it
