Not much to report here either....just conversations and stuff. I had my annual the other day and my doctor told me what I can be doing to prepare!

I can't WAIT until we can start...I wish we could start now but he has this December date in his head so.... oh well!!

For those taking FOlic Acid....does it make you sick? Iron makes me really sick, so I didn't know if it was similar. I have been taking Viactiv multi vitamin chews....it does have the 400 mg of FA so hopefully that's ok.

Sending baby dust everyone's way!

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

eeeeeeek!!!!! got a good "real" positive today :) Nice and dark. I'm very excited, but kinda scared after the loss in February..... I quess I should move to the other thread

Good Luck! Cristina and I had been trying for awhile now and when we went to Spain this past December, the last day. an hour before we were to leave Gijon, where her sister's family and mom and dad live, we took one of those over the counter pregnancy tests. Guess what, it said "positive", so we are at the door saying our goodbyes and we announced that we were pregnant (there's been a rumor for years that I have been  but that's another story). Needless to say everyone was excited although not nearly as the 2 of us were. Cristina is due in Sept, and we know it's to be a baby girl that we've already named "Sofia" and she bounces around momma's belly about as much as Cristina bounces around the house! We'll keep all posted!

All done for the next 10 years...

Now more then ever..."and Miles to go before I sleep and miles to go before I sleep"

Caroline: I think Folic Acid and Iron both can make you a bit sick to your stomach... for me it's the calcium, it gives me a nasty stomach, nausea and other things that are unmentionable in a public forum...

But good luck on your TTC journey....

New Orleans Bound: I am really sorry about your miscarriage, but have the doctor told you the reason of the miscarriages? is there anything you can do to prevent them? Maybe it's all the stress about the immigration situation... Hope everything works out for you...

I had a check up with my Primary Care Doctor yesterday, and made the comment that we have been TTC since December, I asked her if she had a good OB/GYN that she could refer me to, because in spite of my history of myomas, polyps, and endometriosis, the OB/GYN I had gone to didn’t order an ultrasound to check if everything was OK. Well, I’ve got an order to an ultrasound, and I’ve also got a referral to this doctor that specializes in fertility. I know I cant go ahead and get pregnant like now, since I am just going to start working at the new company. But it’s nice to know that I am taking all the steps in the correct direction.

Just wanted to keep you all posted…(and bump the thread that keeps being left behind on page 8…:P

I'll let you know how everything went...

I had an ultrasound done, too, for the same reason. It's always good to have that additional reassurance that all your girls parts are in order

Well, the thing is, that back home, my doctor would do an ultrasound every time I went for a check up, and because I had to have surgery to remove polyps and myomas, well I would go for check ups twice a year. When I went here, it had been almost a year without a check up, and I was expecting to have an ultrasound, but even after asking the doctor (actually it was a nurse practitioner), she said it was not necessary. It might not be necessary, but it would be preventive to have it done, just in case in case, you know?

I’m glad I’m getting this done, and that the doctor is also savvy on fertility, due to my age I cant let it go for ever before knowing that all is good with my baby factory… hehehe.

Have a good day ladies, and as always… good luck with your TTC journeys!

Ana

Hey everybody :)

I just had my yearly exam and told the doctor that we are TTC. He sent me for bloodwork to check my thyroid and my rubella levels. He said those are routine tests he orders when someone is TTC. The thyroid test did not surprise me, but the rubella did. He said that, even though I had the MMR vaccine as a kid, sometimes rubella immunities lower as you get older and he likes to check (because it is better to take care of that before pregnancy). Just found that interesting since my PCP did not mention that.

Baby dust to all!!!

Caroline - I have been taking a prenatal vitamin that contains folic acid and have had no problems tolerating it. I do make sure to take it at breakfast time though (PCP suggested taking it with food).

Caroline-babydust to you!

Hi girls. It was so hard not to say anything here since finding out I was pregnant! But I wanted to wait a few weeks to see how things went.

It took us about 5 months of trying, which now doesn't feel like so long. The day I got the positive I thought for sure it'd be negative. So I left it in the bathroom a few minutes and sadly walked back in to the bathroom to see the result, and it was a dark positive line! I started running around saying "oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!". :D

I am praying for all of you and hope to hear about your positive tests soon!!!

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)
