Sorry for those that are out - and in regards to tests, I was told that it's more likely to have false negative than false positive  good luck!

This is so True, I used "first Response" and I got two false negatives and I was between 6-8 weeks

Congrats

The same thing happened to me when I had my first son "jeez" 20 years ago this year. I was actually taking clomid to restart my periods after not having any for four years. I actually got pregnant the first time I took it . I went to see a doctor for a routine smear test and said that my cervix was a bluish colour (this happens in pregnancy due to increased blood supply) I had a Pregnancy test done and it was negative . Over the next month or so I had several more done-still negative. Only when I was 8 weeks or so did it show up as positive. It had nothing to do with the fertility drugs as after ttc with my youngest son for 3 years I took them again, got pregnant after 5 months taking them and got a positive test after being a couple of days late. ( I actually took about 5 tests over a couple of days as I had tried for so long and just wanted to see that line appear again and again).

My best wishes to those trying for a baby. Sometimes it can be easy and as for me the second time a very stressful and emotional journey. Don't give up hope

Well…

I thought I’d bump this thread and let you all know that I am out this month again. And that probably I will not try to get pregnant for at least 6 more months. I decided to take that job that I mentioned before (after they extended a very nice offer), and well, I suppose that it’d be better if I can give them proof that I am worth having around even if I am pregnant and cant travel as much as I would normally.

We will use this time to go to the doctors, and get really healthy (loose weight and exercise), as well as sorta/kinda enjoy ourselves now that we’re going to have a bit more money. There are also other things in the horizon, that probably will work out better sans baby… it was tough getting to this decision, and it was tougher to tell Rob and see a little bit of disappointment in his eyes. I was really sad, but then he came back and told me that he would support me every step of the way, and that by making these choices we were probably going to be able to provide better for the baby… whenever he or she decides to come along. It was also his idea, that we should go on check ups and make sure that everything is working how it should, and then when we get green light from the docs, go at it and hope that we get blessed with a little one.

Anyhoo, I tend to go for ever… and I apologize for that…:) … I will still be coming around, if only to bump this thread to the top…:D

Good luck to all of you trying and hope you get your little ones soon!
