Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner, I was on another business trip. Still doing terribly with the temping... I didnt know that you needed a base time, and that you should add or substract 0.1F per every half hour of deviation from your base hour.

I'll start doing that this cycle... Actually, this month is going to be a strike for me again, cause I will be travelling during my good days, so it'll be a no-go.

This is my chart link I hope it works... Ana's Chart

Good luck with this new cycle... I know we're getting closer to the top of the list every cycle...:) .... we have to keep the faith...:)

Jonesie: Congratulations!!! I'm really happy for you!!!

To the rest of you... big hugs and good luck with the baby factory!!

No problem Ana! :)

I looked at your chart. Yeah, one main thing is to take your temp as close to the same time as possible everyday. I don't always do 100% great with that. Mine variates by 15mins-30mins sometimes. But doing it closer to the same time each day will help a lot.

I had one more Q, and not trying to get too detailed or anything, but I see your cycle was only 23 days long. Is it always shorter like that? Btw here's a link to my charts. Some may look confusing, because I didn't temp while on a trip last month.

Yes I know our time will have to come sometime! :)

Just wanted to pop in and say hi, and good luck to those trying and congrats to those who had it happen!

My hubby and I want to have children, but he's far more practical than me. I'd be happy to say "ok, let's do it!", but he feels it would be irresponsible given our current financial situation. I have been pregnant once before (although I lost the baby, but that was due to a series of unfortunate events) so I hope my body is still working as it should, although I've been on BC for about 10 years now pretty consistently.

Does anyone know if having been on BC that long and bleeding very infrequently can cause problems? I was on the pill for about 5 years, then I had an IUD, and now I have the depo shot.

Again - good luck all! (F)

Make sure you're wearing clean knickers. You never know when you'll be run over by a bus.

Stina:

This cycle took me completely by surprise. When I came off the pill, I had a couple of cycles that were exactly 28, and then they started to get shorter (26, 25 days). That is the reason I thought I was pregnant last cycle because it lasted 28 days again, and then I had this weird cycle of only 23 days. However, I have been spotting (brownish) for like 2 or 3 days before my period coming, I read somewhere that you should count your first day when your period comes abundantly (like red), and that’s why I marked it as my first day of the cycle, however, if I count those days before getting the full blown period, then I would’ve had a 26 day period. It’s confusing, I know…

I am traveling to Europe next week, and that’s gonna get the temping all crazy again; I don’t even think it’s worth it to attempt at it. I’ll do the OPK, just to make sure when is it during the cycle that I ovulate, and take it from there.

Sorry if it’s too much information, I know some guys read this forum sometimes, and it may sound completely icky. So I’ll excuse myself if anyone gets grossed out…:)

Good luck again!

PS: In everything that I’ve read, it only says that after being on the BC pill, you just have to wait three months (or cycles?) to start trying. Something about your body getting back into the habit of working on it’s own and producing hormones.

Yeah if you are going to be away, there is no point temping. I don't think so about the BC pill. I know a lot of people who got pregnant the first month off it. I have not taken BC pills ever so I don't have a lot of info about it.

Good luck to everyone still trying. If you don't know about Robitussin, I definitely recommend taking it, as it increases the "good" cervical fluid that the sperm are able to survive in and travel to the egg. There is more about it in Taking Charge of Your Fertility - to be taken a few days (as directed on box) before ovulation and througout the duration of ovulation. If anyone wants more info feel free to pm me as well
