Just to give y'all some perspective on this:

My co-worker and her husband had been trying to have a baby for years. She finally got pregnant, carried the baby to term, but 1 week before his due date, the placenta ruptured and the baby died before they could get him out. It was devastating and heartbreaking.

They tried for 3 years after that to get pregnant again, with no luck. Finally, they basically decided to give up. Eventually, my co-worker noticed some funny symptoms, so she went to the doctor. She was almost 3 months pregnant and she had no idea! Now they have a beautiful baby boy.

My sister and her husband tried for 5 years to have a baby. She had 2 miscarriages, and kept trying, and eventually went to a fertility specialist to see what was wrong. They did some tests, tried a few things, but nothing seemed to work. She had an appointment to go back to the specialist to discuss in vitro or something more radical, and the doctor ran the bloodwork to get everything started and discovered she was pregnant! She had a baby girl, Isabel, on Saturday. She is over the moon and we are all ecstatic.

During the time in between, we all had those thoughts about why some people get pregnant so easily, and others have such a difficult time. I don't really know the answer to that, but I do know that miracles DO happen. Don't lose hope!

Reading this brought tears to my eyes. These situations are so inspiring. Sometimes, we've just got to let go...

I agree...

I try to make my self not think about it too much, or not to get my hopes up during those 2 weeks after ovulation, trying not to read into every little thing I feel in my body. But it is SO hard. It’s difficult to not hope that you’re pregnant after you’ve been charting your temperature, doing testing for ovulation, and ‘nailing the nail in the head’ on the right days. As it’s hard not to be disappointed when you realize that all those symptoms and feelings, were only in your mind.

It’s been said here before, and I’ll say it again… it will happen when God wants it to happen… no matter how good you are a temping, charting, calculating fertile days, etc. etc. I just hope that we’re getting close to the top of the list of God’s baby shipments…:)

Have a good day ladies…

I haven't forgotten about you all. We are still trying but I've been so busy and stressed lately I haven't even been thinking about it. I've decided it will happen when it happens and if it doesn't then I'm ok with that. I don't think I'm ovulating on my own so we'll probably end up going back to the fertility clinic when the time is right. I have discovered these past months that I really don't think I'm ready to be a mom. I think God knows exactly what he's doing. We'll just keep doing what we are doing and see if anything eventually happens. One good thing, at least we don't have to worry about birth control.

Daniel: Congrats to you and Ana! That's awesome news. Time will fly by, before long you'll be posting pics of the little one. Good luck!

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

Well…

Another no-go for me this month. Back to square one. Having issues with the temp taking … I am not doing it right, or my temp is all over the place, even taking my temp before getting out of bed give me crazy temp variations from day to day. I am not as frustrated as last month though, not as sad. Things happen for a reason and I will have to figure out this one…

Good luck to the rest of you…

My I suggest checking your mucus as well as your temperature. you are fertile when the mucus is present and the most fertile when it will stretch up to one-inch between your fingers. This would be phase two of your ovulation cycle. Good luck and have fun.

That's really cool! I'm happy for Ana to have a good friend like that, going through all the same stuff in life as her!

Hey Ana, I'm out again this month too. Do you have a link to a chart for your temps or anything? Some variations are normal, some are more erratic. I could post my link again if you would like, to see what my temps have been doing. Let me know if you want to.

I am also trying to be more positive about the baby thing and trust in God for the right time. I have been having heel pain on my left foot, and I had to get a cortisone shot to help it(ouch!). The Dr was apprehensive to give it to me if I might be pregnant, so when I found out I definitely wasn't, I went in for the shot. So I guess that's one good reason I wasn't pregnant this time. I needed the shot. But it doesn't seem to be working 100% to relieve the pain. I think it's a slow healing muscle thing.

Anyway, I am staying hopeful. :)

The second test is positive :yes:

Congrats!!! (F)
