Ok, I'm officially over the moon excited about tommorrow! I don't know if I can sleep tonight. We have the gift bags packed. And the last load of laundry is in the dryer. I am getting my hair cut in the morning. Then.......watch the weather reports for delays. We will leave for Ohare probably about 4pm and fly at 9pm.

Let me get mushy here for a moment plz.........I am truly gonna miss you guys. I wake up and open VJ, all day at my desk, VJ and when I get home watching tv, VJ up til I go to bed. 11 days away from my laptop.

I will check in on this thread when I can sign on to a computer.

It's OK, I know I am not No.1 like Jackie!!!

I am almost ready to go . . . . final stuffing of the bags and the laundry going to get the bedding washed up.

Sorry, I can't stuff anyone in my big bag because it is the one that contains all the gifts!!!! I am taking less clothes for sure, hehe!! But I have plenty of room to bring back things I buy!

Weather alert for DFW . . .high winds!! The bad storms have already passed.

Time to go put something in the dryer!

Catherine we fly today!!!!!!!

We were up til 1am stuffing suitcases. I am so so so worried about something. Go to weatherbug and check out Chicagos weather for today. Starting at 4pm, freezing rain, sleet and snow and ice, official winter storm WARNING. This is exactly what I worry about when leaving from Ohare, and it had to happen on the night we fly. :wacko: I'll be one of those people sleeping on a cot in the airport with delays while they de-ice the wings.

Catherine will you have access to a computer to leave messages here?

I am sure that there will be an internet cafe somewere nearby the flat I am staying in, but I am not going to promise as I am very bad at remembering to do things until the last minute . . . . but I really do need to get onto VJ if I want to keep my daily average up and get my 2nd heart.

Jackie, I hope they don't make you wait in a long line for de-icing after you have boarded the plane! Been there, done that. Last trip to Columbus, I landed in the middle of a snow storm but the visibility wasn't too bad . . . taking off can be another matter if the mess has just started up. Sending you lots of MOJO for the weather to hold off till you have departed!!!

My goodbye post :crying: We are going to Jessica's now to say goodbye to her and Alexis. Her husband will drive us to Ohare. See you all in a few days. I would say individual goodbyes to everyone, but hubby is calling.

Marahaba from Jordan! I wish I could stay online and type more, but we are at an internet cafe and I only have a few minutes. I have soooooooo many stories to tell and pics to share. Our flight was delayed 3 hours while getting de-iced, there were a few scary moments with turbulence.

My cast got wet and had to be cut off, a doctor (and i use the term loosely) put on a white plaster cast while smoking a cigarette and it was positioned wrong. Mohammeds mother cut it off the next day with a machete, ok a knife and now I have an elastic bandage on it. Problem is, I only brought left shoes with me..lol so now we are off to buy me shoes. When I wake in the morning ,I can see my breath in the house. Hope you are all well and see you next wednesday night.

Jackie, take it easy on that foot, girl. You don't wanna spend the rest of ur life with foot pain! I feel better knowing you made it ok. I'll feel even better when we can hear all of your stories and see pics!!!!
