the trick is to keep calling. this morning it took me 39 times and I know the system so well as soon as it picks up I hit 1,3,1,1, before he gets a word in ahha.. and then I was on hold for 30min.. so

some days i get thru in the hold queue in 5 mins and at 2 times it took me an hour to get thru, redialling every 2-3 minis, that was thru a land line :) and not my awesome iPhone :).....

FIY using your iphone redirects you to a supervisor with no time waiting. its like your the president or something :rofl: .. #justsaying

I try to restrict my presidential powers since I like using them more in person especially since i ran out of quota, did you know there was a quota on that ugh, only if i did :ranting::devil:

sure did!! im using my presidential power for an interview date! im calling with my iphone tomorrow should get an interview tomorrow!

I called a dozen times at various different times and never got through...

in the end, it was not needed.

This is important. No one really needs to call unless there's a problem, but we all do to get our case numbers, guilty here. Probably saved me two days at most.... :clock:

yea most cases its not needed only if you want to speed it up just by a week or two. think if you don't call everything is sent by mail correct? instead of email?

I'm K-1, not sure of the difference for me, because they don't really do anything for us besides assign a number and forward the petition onto the embassy.

ohhh yea no no k1 it just gets touched at nvc and goes

spouse visa

it gets assigned a case #

then you have to pay two fees

then you have to send documents

then you have to wait

then cc

then interview set

lol lots for us.. so calling speeds up things

Haha I thought about it and after I posted I said to myself. "Why did you do that" lol.. but me and My fiancé argue all the time about Iphones and Androids (He has an Iphone) so you sorta hit a nerve and didn't even know it. :(

True but if you get the case number from them before the embassy sends packet 3. you can still fill out the DS160 and get things moving along faster. You can even email the embassy and have them email you packet 3 instead of waiting on the mail which it takes an act of God to get mail in Jamaica so... its worth it to me to call and try and get the case number for the K1.
