time to review docs

We've submitted all of the required supporting docs a while ago. Since that didn't trigger the NVC website to update, I emailed the NVC to find out whether they had at least received it. They responded saying that they got all the docs necessary to complete our case (although formally the case is still not complete) and that they are trying to schedule an interview at the US Embassy. Priority-date wise we are current now. How long does it normally take for them to schedule an interview at the Embassy?

Good luck everyone.

I just called the NVC and the operator confirmed that my case has been completed! He told me that I would receive the email with the appointment date soon since there's not waiting for my type or country.

My case has been completed long time ago as well and they had plenty of time to forward it to the Embassy. Yet it's been close to 2 months now and the case is still at the NVC even though our priority date is current and has been current for 2 months now.

What kind of visa are you applying for? Mine is an EB1-A which is supposed to be of the highest priority, maybe that makes a difference?

Most people on this site are for spouse or fiance visas.

Anyways, I am on EB3. Your EB1 would not give you any preferential treatment at NVC or consulate. You would have a lot more documents to prove your eligibility to EB1.

The only difference EB1 gets preference is your priority date is almost always current.
