How long does it take for NVC assign the case number?

I called the technical problem line 603-334-0888 and was told that the case is locked. The CSR said she would send it to a supervisor to have case unlocked so I can assign agent over the phone. Toch did you have any success yet?

No. I call the same number try to assign myself as an agent. But they said they haven't send me the welcome letter and instruction yet. Therefore they can't do anything. They receive my case on 5-7-15. Assign the case number on 6-11-15. And still can't fill out DS-261. I am running out of patience. I just called again and ask for a supervisor and they said no one available. They will put in a ticket for me and the supervisor will call me back in a week. Really?! I am calling back tonight again.

Try calling again many times. don't give up. They probably have your case number and IIN already.

Does anyone have any luck fill out DS-261 over the phone? I call them and they said they were unable to do it. I have to wait for another letter to tell me to do so.

Me too i was told the same thing today. But told that i can send aos fee by mail since i received welcome letter and aos fee invoice.

Hope it sont take forever :(

  • Please call the NVC at 603-334-0888 and press option “2” to select your agent. The “agent” is the person who will receive communications and instructions from the NVC. Our customer service representatives will enter your agent’s information in our database and then generate your IV processing fee invoices. Please have your agent’s full name, phone number, email address, and mailing address available when you call us.

That is the number I call. Did you fill out the DS-261 over the phone already?

Yes. I said that I want to fill out my choice of agent. Took forever to get connected and waited for almost an hour. Hope it works for you!

contacted NVC on 6/30/15 after waiting 30 days.. they said everything was sent to Embassy in Manila on 6/12/15.. He gave me the Case# and Invoice#.. I asked why we never receive a letter and he said I dont know, embassy should send you something.. Now my fiancee is in Manila and we are being told she needs NVC letter to pay fee?? We thought she only needed the Case# / Invoice#..

IS THIS TRUE??

HOW DO WE GET THE LETTER???

i spoke to,an agent last night on the technical asst line and she said the website was going down last night until Monday and they are pretty confident it will be back up and running on Monday.

I called today again and finally choice myself as an agent. Now just wait for them to send me the invoices.

Glad you were able to choose your agent. I'm still unable to do so, last time I called the CSR told me to send a email asking to update my phone number and to unlock my case so I can assign an agent. I'm so confused!

I did overnight mail for 120 payment on 07/01/15. And now I can sign in to the website to pay both fee. I just did a online payment for 325. I wait till Tuesday to call them and see did they receive my 120 payment.
