This plunkers just told to wait 1 or 2 weeks but hopefully in one week I should have the card. I don't know I think they treat foreigners ssn application with that non-chalant attitude. God, got to the ssa today, they looked up the application and said they were still waiting on dhs verification, when app was reviewed dhs verification was already there just waiting to be confirmed.

She wasn't willing to review until I told her lady in booth F originally accepted my application 2 weeks ago and said oh...dhs confirmation might just have been confirmed, printed my reciept as an application confirmation but she just let the application sit there pending, I assume the moment I turned around, she closed my application. I can't believe I've gotta wait another 2 weeks cos of their lazy butts.

If not for the better pay for career opportunities down here, I'm pissed enough to pack my bag and go back to my low paying job in my shitty country. Because most people still do their jobs diligently, regardless of who they are dealing with.

shynepapin, I dont know, you can probably call them and ask.... doesn't hurt to try though)

yeah, I was told by the agent that my ssn card will come in 3-4 weeks, so I guess it is a michigan thing. I applied for SSN august 18, went to them again got my number on august 28th, still no card. but at least I have my number)

Rachel good luck and definitely share your experience. What visa are you adjusting from?

I sent a service request to have my address change on August 26 and the same day it was assigned to an officer for response. Now i log in I see it has been assigned August 31 which is weird because it had said August 26. I really hope this does no delay my case because I have moved to a new state and fear they would put me at the back of the line....

Sorry Allyalexandra, I didn't get an email notification about your post and I usually do, so this might be late. FYI, I never prepared for the test, did pass though but would have to wait 30 days as my previous DL scan was not accepted as a proof, they said they need something physical no copies whatsoever.

I'll advice reading the what every driver should know for preparations. I took the trst same day I got the ssn at anout 4:20pm.

Oh no, it's not late at all. Congrats though! you can start driving now!

I prepared for the test (did tests online), came into the SOS office, waited for 2,5 hours and then the sos employee couldn't verify my documents with DHS and couldn't issue me a pass for the written test or anything. She had to submit a SAVE (alien verification) form for me, and now I'm waiting for USCIS/DHS to resolve this issue! and I have no idea how long it will take
