Hi guys I am new to the forum.I am currently in the U.S and filed my i-130 in june 18.My case was approved at august 26.After the approval I received the paper which says your case was approved and after that did not receive any letter. It's been almost 6 months now and I am really worried about this.Based on what I read on this post it usually takes 6 months to get to action.I am assuming next month there will be a change in my case. Also I wish my best to everyone :)

Have you called NVC if they received your approved petition? i've read that in rare cases a welcome letter is late or may have gotten lost in the mail. You don't have to wait to receive a welcome letter from NVC to move to the next step. you may have just wasted 4 months. Call NVC and provide your receipt number and confirm that they received your approved petition and get your case number and Invoice Identification Number. Tell them you haven't received anything and get started on the next process!!!

Please create a timeline so we can be more helpful.

Also did you get approved on the 1-130 or did you just get confirmation of acceptance? For someone from New York to get approved in 2-3 months without going to the California Facility sounds a little bit off for me.

batun41 please call NVC asap! Once your petition is approved it is sent straight to the US dept of state aka National Visa Center and from then on your case is no longer USCIS's responsibility.

NVC # - (603) 334-0700 - The lines are always busy so keep calling to get through to the menu.

On August 26, 2015, we approved your Form I-130, Immigrant Petition for Relative, Fiance(E), or Orphan, Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxxx. We will mail your approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

This is what my myUSCIS portal says.

I would call the NVC with your receipt number and ask them for your case number and invoice number. If they say they don't have your case, call the USCIS to check with them!

I believe you need to still call USCIS and see why they haven't sent it to the NVC yet, that should have changed within 3 weeks or so to sent to NVC status.

Correct me if im wrong anybody?

Apologies Brite I didn't see your response when I posted mine.

The file has been logged as received but they haven't entered the contents into the system yet. It could take up to three weeks or so until they can tell you your case number.
