I just got a text and email saying that it was approved. Thank God. How long till they send it to NVC?

Congratulations!!! I'm so happy to see another India petition get approved. I think it takes an average of 2-3 weeks for the NVC to receive your petition, then another at least 2 weeks for them to assign a Case number and Invoice Identification number. I've read that people start calling the NVC after 2 weeks to see if they received it. After NVC confirms they received your petition, call at least once a week to see if they assigned the case number and IIN. Don't wait to receive the physical welcome letter from NVC to get your case number and IIN. They may not send it immediately for whatever reason.

You're well on your way! I hope you have all your documents ready. If not, start gathering them now so there isn't any delay in the process from your end.

Thank you for your help. Can I start getting the employment letter already?

What do you mean by Employment letter? DO you mean the letter that states what your current salary is to provide with your AOS document? Speaking as an HR person, I would wait until it's almost time to submit your documents so you have the most recent date on the letter from your employer. That way the NVC sees that you provided everything as current as possible and there's no doubt. That's what I plan to do when I provide my letter, pay slips and W2's.

Call them every week, most of the time you can get your case/invoice # before that. :) USCIS sent my case to NVC on 11/28 and NVC received our case on 12/7. Still no case number yet, I will call on Monday. :) Good luck!!

That's awesome, you're a June filer and took almost 6 months. Very hopeful to me and other users having passed their 5 months wait time. Were you transferred to another center?

Congratulations!

I can I find out if nvc received my case?

Call NVC and ask them. Here's their number incase you need it: 603-334-0700 they are open from 7am-12am EST, Mon-Fri.

Make sure you have your receipt number from USCIS. It took 8 days from the time USCIS updated our case online to NVC to confirm that they received our case. Still no case number though. :)
