So I received my RFE letter and it states that I submitted a copy of my marriage certificate with translation that isn't a proper certification by a translator. So I have to find someone that is certified to translate in English.

This is directly from the USCIS website's "General Tips on Assembling Applications for Mailing".

http://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

Did your translator include the following at the bottom of the translated copy:

  • Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

    Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

    Signature_________________________________

JDBoss have you tried clicking on the FORGOT PASSWORD or FORGOT USER NAME option?

I reset when it said I was locked that was thursday. Now since all I get is

"AN ERROR HAS OCCURRED. PLEASE CONTACT TECHNICAL SUPPORT".

The URL even changes at the end instead of login it's https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/globalError.do

Just frustrating. Just hoping we get the email and text when they do ship off.

I wouldn't worry to much JD if i were you since you have already gotten your approval :) Just Check your Case Status without having to login

Yes you are right. However what expect me to do with my time waiting in Nigeria.

I need to stalk something.

My wife will start calling NVC tomorrow just for fun.

She'll get frustrated after the first day. ;)

Hey Guys,

My pd is July 14th and transfer date is Oct 16th to potomac. I work part time, so I had to use my dad's tax return. However my dad has filed same case for his spouse. He filed on good amount. Now problem is both of us got into a car accident on 27th sep 15. As of today both of us are out of work. But hopefully we will be returning by the time we will need employment letters and stuf. What do you think? If there seems any problem? Or we will be fine?

Hello everyone, I received a NOA1 on June 25th. I am still waiting on NOA2. It has been exactly 5 months and still no response/communication from USCIS. NSC is handling my case. I tried to call USCIS yesterday and was told that Nebraska is still handling May 2nd priority date. I have signed up for email/text alerts but have not received anything. I am starting to get worried. Does the email/text alerts work?

Yes they work, we were notified through text and email. It took 5, months and 3 days for our approval. Just hang in there, they might be getting a whole bunch of approvals out the next couple weeks. I'm sure the holiday has slowed things down a bit.
