OMG OMG approved just got 30 minutes ago. I day short of 5 months. NOA1 6/17.

Congrats!!! :joy:

So how long does it take the Status to change to sending to Department of State?

Does it display that? I thought that they just sent it within a day or two after approval.

Can anyone confirm for us if they do, and then how long it takes to be updated?

Thanks,

It takes around 7 days for the cases to be sent off to NVC. The status would change from Case Was Approved to Case was Sent To The Department Of State. Our cases still show approved and it is now 10 days already. I believe they don't do the updates instantly when they send the cases off to NVC like when the cases are approved. Miro I think we will get an update if not today.. tomorrow? Fingers crossed!

I just rcv an email asking for additional evidence. They stated that they send me the request by mail. Ughhh why couldn't they just tell me here. So I could get what they need.

So at least I know that my file has been touched. Hopefully my RFE is something minor. I sent them so much ####### I don't see what could be missing unless they lost something. I wish they would have told me by email what they need. It's all a mind thing with these people I tell you. MIND OVER MATTER

Hey that is still good news! Your case has been looked at and now I believe it is just something minor they are wanting from you that you have already sent but maybe just in a different format. You'll be receiving the RFE in the mail soon! Positive vibes to you siniybella :)

Hello,

Qucik question, on police report should spouse have her parents home address or in law's address? Does it matter?

The link below are for Indian nationals applying for a PCC.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/378328-police-clearance-certificate-pcc-from-commissioners-office-and-from-psk-for-indian-nationals/

If you mean her present residential address then put whatever address she currently resides. Don't believe it matters if she lives with her parents or the in- laws. Its best you just state the truth.

We recieved an RFE on 10/28, 4 days before our 5 month mark at Nebraska! I was going nuts wondering what the RFE could be for. The letter took 4 days to arrive and our RFE was for passport photos of me and my husband. They must of lost them since we sent them with our original paperwork. I was so sad, this RFE has now put us behind 20 days already. They recieved our passport photos on the 11/4, one week ago today. Praying we hear an approval anyday now. I get more discouraged everyday, but it is true the positive is that at least our case was touched. I hope your RFE is something minor, definitely keep us posted as to what it is. Try not to stress over it until you know exactly what they need, trust me it will consume you if you let it. :)

You right cosmo22 I'm upset and stressed about it. They wait till the exact 5 months to tell me this. Then to wait on this letter ughhh. I'm hoping I get the RFE letter this week so I could send them what they want. I'm praying for something simple. But plz keep me posted as well cause u r my hope right know to how long does it take for them to respond after you send them wat they want.

good luck siniybella.

Also I thought I would let you guys know that this week is the second time I called NVC just for "fun" to see if they had received my case yet, and they keep informing me that its currently taking about 35 days from approval of our uscis step till they generate a case number.

Ill try again in a few days regardless but good to know I think.

I bet you receive the letter by Friday. I truly hope it is something minor. Our RFE was beyond minor but it still has us just waiting and delaying our case. I am debating actually to call them today, we will see if I get the guts haha. I never called USCIS this entire process. Not sure if calling will even make postive difference. Let me know when you get your letter and I will keep you posted as well! :)
