I don't think it can hurt to have 6 months of most recent pay stubs to at least bring to your interview. They might not even ask to see it, but at least you will have them. I think when the time comes I am going to send NVC probably 3-4 months worth of recent stubs. It is good proof to show my current income since I am the petitioner. You are right, I think the more the better. :)

We submitted 1 month worth of pay stubs since they had year to date amounts on them and had no problem with the AOS. The employment letter just showed total wages I earn without overtime and bonuses. Will send current pay stubs for her interview.

Yes. I agree. Okay it's the 18th we are getting close.

Funny in this crazy i.migration thing seems following someone's every move you call stalking is a good thing.

So COSMOS I'm watching you.

Haha it's so true, I been a "stalker" for months now! And I hear it only gets worse when you get to NVC. We will be stalking them good sometimes daily! So stalk away guys, hopefully we all have some good news soon! :)

Filed: IR-5 Timeline

2 to 3 months to Case Complete than maybe 4 to 8 weeks wait for interview to be assigned. It's all about when you get Case Complete and when they do the scheduling.

Every embassy is different. Here's the spreadsheet I keep take a look for France.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xbLl_8yDgHLeDaLnTrPdYc44J0sjPSFfYCKxlKx6uTY/edit#gid=0

Wow, your spreadsheet is so incredibly helpful! Thank you. Great job!

It looks like the average time for our embassy from Case Complete to the Interview is 6-8 weeks.

What about the NVC stage, I wonder is it really running so long now, 2-3 months? I though NVC was supposed to process approved petitions in 45 days.

Or is NVC stage delayed maybe because people don't submit all of the required documents to NVC as soon as the petition is approved?

Well you can't submit anything until you are invoiced and at least pay the AOS fee. Most timelines from NOA2 to case# to AOS fee invoiced is almost 6 to 8 weeks. Delays for many are those getting check-listed. I have read here on VJ many getting through from case# to case complete in under 35 days. So its doable its how ready are folks. Many sitting around and waiting when all thisis waiting for approval they could have had things done. Look at most on this thread. They got it together. LOL They are ready set go. Just waiting on the Release the Cracken word from USCIS.is 3 to 5 weeks

Thanks for explaining all this. So it looks like the actual timelines are a bit longer than what's suggested on the department of state website. At best, it'll take 3 months from the petition approval to the interview.

Means that a supervisor is looking at it. Maybe they meant it is being adjudicated which they usually will not tell you. So hopefully there are no issues for them.

Hi there. How are you guys/gals? I hope all is well.

Just a quick update on our Journey.

It has been a month since we submitted the civil documents to NVC. (September 21) and we completed DS260 on October 2. We are just waiting now for the next step.

We are so happy and a bit nervous as we are almost done with the process.. I wish all the best to everyone and hopefully we can all look back on this event in our lives and smile as we are finally together with our spouses.

I don't really think it matters but most use the name on the passport because the instruction states to enter whatever surname(s) on the passport. Some women in similar situations to yours have suggested to change/renew your passport (surname change) before gaining entry into the US because whatever name on the Visa will be according to the name on your passport and the Green Card will be issued according to the name on your visa.

Wow,, it so happened that I judt updated our status here and BAM I received an email from NVC with a checklist ?

"INSTRUCTIONS FOR: (NAME OF MY WIFE: BENEFICIARY)

__F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________ We reviewed the Affidavit of Support documentation you sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). According to the current poverty guidelines, it does not appear you or any of your sponsors meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrant(s) for this petition. To avoid delays, you may have an additional sponsor complete an Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) and provide it to the intending immigrant to submit at their interview. At that time, a consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement. To view the current poverty guidelines, go to http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-864P.pdf."

Sigh. I don't understand, I know I didn't need to have a co-sponsor since I have provided assets (bank account statement) to meet the poverty guidelines. I mean I'm only like 50 bucks off from the poverty line and more than enough money on my savings account. Sigh.
