Mailed the I-130-spousal petition yesterday (June 7) to the Chicago Lockbox.

I am a US Citizen who married a Canadian and moved to Canada over 16 years ago. We now want to start the process of immigrating my husband to the US.

Wow, 16 years! Do you visit the states often? I've been in France 8 years and since we only visit every 18 months or so (often longer), I have pretty bad culture shock whenever I go back. My husband is so excited to move and will probably handle it much better than I will, and I'll be the one feeling like an immigrant!

USC abroad since 2007

Married French husband 2012

Bébé born 2014 - CRBA and US passport a few months later

Me + husband + bébé + cat all arrived safely in the US on January 25th

Visa process 2015

I-130 sent: June 2nd (delivered June 4th by Chronopost)

NOA1 received: June 8th via email, June 15th via post - California Service Center

NOA2 received: June 30th via email, July 7th via post

NVC received case: July 16th

NCV case number by phone: July 30th (assigned July 29th)

DS-261 completed online: July 31st

AOS Fee available/paid online: August 4th

AOS Fee shows as "PAID"; August 6th

DS-261 accepted by phone: August 19th

IV invoice received by mail: August 20th (late at night)

IV fee available/paid online: August 21st

IV fee shows as "PAID": August 25th

AOS/IV packages sent: August 29th (delivered September 2nd via Chronopost)

Hi everyone! I sent my I-130 package on June 1 from France, and I haven't received my NOA1 yet. Starting to freak out a bit :)

USC in France since 2/2012. Married 2/2013.

June 1 : I-130 sent from Paris by Lettre Suivie (bad choice)

June 12 : I-130 delivered (Chicago Lockbox)

June 16 : NOA1 dated June 15 received via text/email (assigned to California Svc Ctr)

June 23 : NOA1 received via mail in France

July 14 : NOA2 received via text/email

July 28 : NVC received our case (no case # or IIN yet)

Aug 24 : Called NVC, received case # and IIN. Submitted DS-261 and paid $120

Sep 5 : Received NVC Welcome Packet via mail in France

Sep 22 : Called NVC to ask why IV fee was not available to pay

Sep 23 : Received IV application invoice by email (not available to pay online yet)

Sep 24 : Paid IV fee online ($325)

Sep 27 : DS-260 completed

Sep 30 : AOS/IV Packets received by NVC (received identical confirmation emails Oct 3 and Oct 5)

Oct 28 : 3 N/As, confirmed Case Complete

June filer here! Received NOA1 receipt in mail yesterday, we got routed to Nebraska processing center! Crossing fingers for a speedy process for all of us!! Anyone else at Nebraska?

Nebraska here ... Got our NOA1 today in the mail.

Hoping for no RFE :)

Hi everyone! I sent my I-130 package on June 1 from France, and I haven't received my NOA1 yet. Starting to freak out a bit :)

It took me two weeks before I got my NOA1 in Australia from the day that they received the package. Very frustrating, especially when everyone that filed from the US got theirs in a few days. Did you send a check? Are you able to see if that's cleared the bank yet? It might give you a bit of a piece of mind. Good luck!

Checklist/Email from Supervisor?: 2015/09/18 - for missing police certificate, even though we were suppose to submit directly to the Australian consulate. Emailed them as requested stating that info and called stating that info was told to wait another 30 days for them to respond?!?!?!?! :ranting: At least now I'm in direct email communication with a someone.

Hi! This is why I need to leave France :) My husband was like "Did you send it by Chronopost?" and I said "Yes, La Poste is Chronopost, right?"... Turns out I sent it by Lettre Suivie Internationale. My sense is it is tracked until it reaches the US (which it did June 5) but not afterward since I've received no update since then. My check hasn't been cashed yet. Since this package doesn't contain any irreplaceable documents, I'm not that worried, just excited for it to arrive so my official wait can begin.

Just curious - how much did Chronopost cost you? The Lettre Suivie Internationale was 10€. The online calculator for Chronopost says 90€, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. I'm thinking ahead to what I'll use the next time we're sending documents.

I paid 58 euros for a 500g Chronopost international envelope and it arrived in 2 days. And then it took 3 business days to get the email NOA1.

This whole process started lated than planned because I had to wait on a check from my dad (I don't have a checking account in the states anymore), and La poste never delivered the first one he sent! Who knows if I'll even get the actual NOA1 letter . . . So trying to send everything tracked/signature to be extra sure.

I've already budgeted using Chronopost for all the documents we need to send. We always knew this was going to be an expensive process, so an extra 200 isn't really going to make a difference at thing point!

According to the USCIS website, it says 5 months. But 5-7 months would be the minimum for non DCF filers.
