Our hard copy NOA2 stated that our case was sent to the NVC. The current wait time for the NVC to receive a case is about 2 weeks, so i would suggest calling the NVC next week around the 23d or 24th to verify that they have received your case.

Thanks! I guess I'm just anxious :content: . No case number for you guys yet?

I received my NOA-2 on July 9th. I called NVC yesterday and they said my cases were received on July 15. No case numbers have been assigned and I was told it may be mid -August before that might happen. I'm going to call once a week, though, to see if case numbers may be assigned before then.

Surprisingly, I got through on my first call and waited only 1-2 minutes before speaking to someone.

I got the same answer this morning when i called too. Hoping they are faster than what they say!

Lol! I know it's hard not to be sometimes. Not yet, but following up on Ochili's post the standard wait time for your case number to be assigned is roughly 2 to 3 weeks after NVC has received your case. However, I would advise calling after the 2 week mark and keep calling every other day (or more) until you get your case number and IIN.

I hope that isn't case. While the forums and the info online can be helpful and can cause a lot of anxiety too, relax and have faith it goes faster than you expect and when is doubt call the UCSIS. Good luck to you!

That's so true, I really need to just try and forget about all these forums and support sites for a few weeks. I signed up for email and Text notificaitions with USCIS so if anything changes with our case I should get notified anyway. Good luck to everyone!!

Wishing all those who got their approval A SMOOTHE NVC JOURNEY

For those still waiting ... Worry not!

Keep the FAITH! It is through FAITH and Hope that we met the love of our life, got married and filed this petition..

If Nebraska is now working on January cases instead of the 5 months they have stated before, then why are Nebraska February filers getting approved..?

We go through different journeys in our lives. This journey is one of the challenging ones because it has to do with that ONE thing we yearn most for and that is to be with our OTHER HALF and knowing that we are going to be apart for what it seems like (in a marriage timeline) A VERY LONG TIME, is heartaching. THE Love we have for our spouse is what gives us FAITH and hope and THAT is what is going to bring us finally together again.

Love this! I needed to see this today, so thank you! :) At least we all know our petitions are in processing and that time is inevitable, that thought gets me through the days I miss by husband beyond words.

Called the NVC this morning and they received our case 2 days ago......LET'S GO CASE NUMBER!!! It took exactly 14 days (including weekends) for them to get the case from the approval date at the UCSIS.

Thinking daily of those of you who are waiting on approvals...don't get discouraged.

You're most welcome :)

I terribly miss my husband too. Another thing i can say is that I'm glad we have all these means of communication like Skype etc.. Even though that doesnt come close to having them with us, that is probably the closest we'll ever get during this process living apart I guess

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I knew no other way than this, where 'I' does not exist, nor 'you'. So close that your hand on my chest is my hand, so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.
