I did not know that, because I had a military service at JAF, but on interview letter barecode it show X for military record which mean unobtainable

then don't worry about it if the wanted it they would have put it on the list your fine .

Exactly my husband was x also. Nvc does their own background checks...if they feel they need more evidences or docs they will ask. But if they dont its because they checked you already and its ok. So just take what the interview letter states. I told my husband just to be on the dafe side to take his military id card, and copies of it. But they didnt need it. ☺

hi my husband still in the military, he works for the civil defense and they did as him to take military record with him because we did scan and sent it to NVC and they put S next to it so thats mean they want to see but it was a letter from the ministry where he works, his rank, and when he started. Should he also give them a copy of his military ID and take his military ID with him??

Hi fatoosh13...if he stil in the military and u sent nvc the military record.. they have his record but it wont hurt to take a copy of id to interview just in case. I dont think its a problem. In our case we took every thing possible and they didnt ask us. I think its better to take all u can and be ready than to regret not taking something which maybe does not seem important to us but it could be to them☺.

thank you for the reply. whatever I sent to the NVC i told him to take with him plus will tell him to make a copy of his military ID to take with him, but as i said it wasn't really a military record it was just a letter from higher authority that states his name, his rank and when he started and that he still work there. thats what i sent NVC so he should hand in the original letter the day he drops off his package to the embassy in amman :)

For ur husband situation is different coz he still on duty, my situation is completely different coz i resigned coz i served in military intelligence , you need to get approval to marry forigner , and most of cases they deny that, so if they put in the barcode s just bring the original for me it was X so they don't need it
