All what I can say is that there is a big mess in the post in Amman. Seems like they are not reliable and we are all paying the price for their poor time and effort management.

I just went on that ustraveldoc website again and it says this for Amman:

First Available Appointment Is Thursday October 8, 2015.
And yet, I'm still not seeing anyone being scheduled. Who are are these invisible people getting interview dates? I wish there was an Arabic version of visajourney, maybe more people would be on it

Syrians are getting waivers and their cases get expedited interviews and ours get held up. Those same Syrians come to the US and get green cards and then they go back to Syria right after that. This is the fair treatment that we get. Many friends of mine had their parents and wives get a special treatment taking advantage of the Syrian situation and their spouses and parents went back to Syria. As a tax payer who is suffering from getting my spouse to get my life back on track, I started to feel that I am not an American and I that i don't have rights anymore.

Morgan and SamWisam, is it even worth it to make an appointment with the embassy and talk to them while I'm there? Honestly it seems like a waste of time. Were they able to help you guys at all?

sadly it's not, we had to pick up my daughters passport today and my husband saw a guy that worked there walking out (he said he recognized him last time we were in there) and he started talking to him to try to get him to help you'll basically have to pay someone off in the embassy to get any help I feel . That's what my husband is willing to do at this point .

lol I mean, I would definitely do that if I thought it would help but NVC are the ones who schedule the appointment, right? So it wouldn't even do anything to pay off someone at the embassy

embassy can request the file from the nvc similar to an expedite .

Very odd.I am shocked. This is not a good thing. Did you guys even hear anything from the senators?

Also what did the NVC say?

If the interview scheduling takes over 6 months to get, then what is the meaning of cases marked complete by the NVC? Also why most of you are in Jordan?

I am actually back state side :-(

It seems all interviews are on hold due to software upgrade at embassies world wide from the 7th till the 10th this month, let's hope we hear something next week.

I don't think that a software related issue has been preventing the post in Jordan from not finishing a case that was completed in March. My friend dad had his case completed in April and he got a June 31st appointment in Amman. There is something else which is related to a pre arranged appointment scheduling criteria between the NVC and the post in Amman.
