My joint sponsor has a wife and 2 kids, plus the 2 people he sponsored before, and now my wife. So he is responsible for 7 people including himself. I know the poverty line for a family of 5 people is about $35,000 in North Carolina. I really don't know what is the poverty line for a family of 7 in NC, but I don't think it exceeds $60,000.

Sam89 made me worried, and I do feel her and her husband's pain.

U are in good stand, ur joint sponsor should make 45,912 yearly according to 7, so don't be worry, wish u good luck

My husband spent 3 and a half hours in the embassy today, they asked him simple questions like how did you come to know your wife, when's your anniversary, stuff like that.

My affidavit of support wasn't enough so I had two joint sponsors but turns out those two joint sponsors sponsored other people so the affidavits were worthless.

Visa denied until I can find someone who hasn't already sponsored an immigrant to sponsor my husband.

Happy for all of you who have gotten interviews, make sure you take copies of your originals, they took the copies from my husband.

Hey sam89 did they ask for photos or was it just questions ?

For all whom just received a cc or waiting for it...regarding the link to supposively schedule your appointment and or register info...there is nothing we can do at that point but wait. The waiting game is a tough one but thats the truth. The nvc has the full control to schedule the appointments. It might change in the future but as for now thats the way it is. Before i received my interview date, i also tried that link...i too called nvc several times to see if i was sure. Nvc rep repeatdly would say..i couldnt do anything coz they are the ones who schedule us ..not us. So they have the control and waiting for an interview date is the only thing to do for now... You all might want to check in time to time to see if things change. My cc was May 4...nvc scheduled on Sept. 15. I called on the 16th to confirm. Next day, i received interview letter email and my husband also. Interview is on 10/27. InshaAllah.
