My husband spent 3 and a half hours in the embassy today, they asked him simple questions like how did you come to know your wife, when's your anniversary, stuff like that.

My affidavit of support wasn't enough so I had two joint sponsors but turns out those two joint sponsors sponsored other people so the affidavits were worthless.

Visa denied until I can find someone who hasn't already sponsored an immigrant to sponsor my husband.

Happy for all of you who have gotten interviews, make sure you take copies of your originals, they took the copies from my husband.

Sam89 help me if you can. I am in the same situation. My income is not enough so that I brought in a joint sponsor, but this joint sponsor sponsored someone before my wife. Do you think I need to start looking for someone else to do the sponsorship? Thanks

It all depand on the sponsors income. I think they have to make more than $50,000 a year to sponsor 2 people. The more they make the more they can sponsor. That's what my lawyer told me.

The guy who sponsored my wife made about $65,000 in 2014. But we waited for a very long time, I really do not want anymore disappointments.

Mahmoud, each co-sponsor should cover the poverty guidelines for their state and according to their household size too, for example let say ur joint sponsor had sponsered a person before u and he live by him self so u gonna count him and his old sponsorship and added u as new one so it gonna be 3 person , just go to the poverty guidelines sheet according to ur state for the same year then see how much ur co-sponsor should make yearly according to 3, then u gonna figure out if he is fulfill AOS demands

My joint sponsor has a wife and 2 kids, plus the 2 people he sponsored before, and now my wife. So he is responsible for 7 people including himself. I know the poverty line for a family of 5 people is about $35,000 in North Carolina. I really don't know what is the poverty line for a family of 7 in NC, but I don't think it exceeds $60,000.

Sam89 made me worried, and I do feel her and her husband's pain.
