Beba_omar,

Thank you so much for the information. Please let us know if they issue the visa on the same date of the interview after your husband gets his interview done or they have him wait few more days.

I have a question for those Syrians that have immigrant visas in process. Eventually the interview will be set at the Consulate in Amman.

Of the Required Documents, a Certificate of Non-Conviction and a Police Certificate are required. We have obtained a Certificate of Non-Conviction. We are not sure what the Police Certificate is. If anyone knows, please advise if you obtained a Police Certificate and if so, was it obtained from a Police Department or the Intelligence (Mukhabarat) or some other department? I have contacted the US Embassy in Jordan regarding this document, but they can only say it's required. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

thank you amzag for the response. I am glad to hear that they are the same document. I wish someone at the Embassy in Jordan could've been clear about the matter just as you have been.

there are two different documents:

Police clearance - if he/she been in a country for more than 6 months he resides in.

in Amman they want a Shahadit Mahkomea not a police clearance , our case was delayed 2 months because of this so it has to be from court not police for Jordan

The certificate of non conviction it's issued from justice palace or any ordinary court, the police certificate or demeanor and behavior conduct certificate it's issued by GID or general intelligence department, so before they been asking to submit it, now they asking for certificate of non conviction

Was this for the interview? Did NVC approve you and then the interview came and you were told to get a different paper? Which papers exactly? My husband was told the non conviction is all he needs that there is no police certificate. He got intelligence papers also.
