Also, on ceac, states Ready. His papers should be here. Why doesn't the Embassy know he has an appointment, it doesn't make any sense. I don't want to risk going the day of the interview and having them refuse us entry after 6 months of waiting, that's not fair.

Anyone have any ideas what else I should do?

The guy at the embassy said to register at ustraveldocs but that didn't work either

Where did you guys read that? I never got an e-mail saying that. All I got was an interview letter from the NVC. I tried going to ustraveldocs.com and registering his interview date and that didn't work either.

Okay just let him take his interview letter and go to the embassy on October 6th !

Our lawyer got an email. It's not just for Saturday appointment a friend of ours appointment is on a Monday and he received the letter as well.

Was I supposed to do something after receiving the appointment letter? Maybe I'm the one that made a mistake? Or is everything automatically sent to the embassy through the nvc

Did anyone else do anything besides medical after getting the appointment letter?

@USConsulJO We're asking for apps to send documents 1 week in adv. This allows us to do more interviews and you to spend less time at Embassy.

This was on Twitter US Consul Account, so I am assuming all the ones who have immigration appointments need to do this!

For those of you guys that got interview dates, is it true that they send out an email saying to come a week earlier to gave all the paperwork. I read it on tweeter, saying that they are doing this to speed up the process.

Yes, starting with November 2015 interviews in Amman, the Required Documents will need to be dropped off/mailed to at the embassy before the interview date. See link http://jordan.usembassy.gov/immigrant_visas.html

Important Notice to Immigrant Visa Applicants

Immigrant visa applicants are now required to submit the required documents in advance of their appointment dates. Failing to provide a complete document package in advance will delay visa processing.

Jordanians, residents of Jordan, and applicants already in Jordan (effective immediately): 1-2 weeks before your interview, you must send a complete document package with Aramex or drop it off at the U.S. Embassy between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m. any day. These hours are for document drop-off only; we will not be able to assist with cases or answer questions during this time. You should submit all documents no more than two weeks before interview and no later than one week before interview. If you choose to use Aramex, there will be a 5 JD fee that you will pay directly to them.

Non-residents of Jordan and applicants traveling to Jordan for interview (effective starting with November 2015 appointments): You should arrive in Jordan five days before your interview and conduct your medical exam. Three days before your interview you must drop off your complete document package at the U.S. Embassy between 11 a.m. and 12 p.m.

The embassy in Jordan is crowded and backed up add the fact that they dont seem to work at all doesnt help much, my friends wife was in kuwait she got her interview 3 days after he CC date. The embassy in Amman is very inefficient and the staff dont know what they are doing.

Could any one share experience with dropping off documents at the embassy? Is it true that we have to drop them off at the embassy 1~2 weeks in advance?
