Guys,

I believe the embassy will start having immigration interviews soon similar to the Egypt embassy, so hopefully will hear some good news soon. I suggest each one of us to talk to their Congressman as it make a difference on the embassy level!!

I know but in my situation I had to follow up with my congressman office, by following up with NVC and sending an email or a letter to the embassy. also, by contacting more than one congressman, in my case I contacted three! ;) my husband spoke to someone who works at the embassy saying that they were told to start scheduling but they didn't start yet! Eid is also coming soon so probably nothing is happening this month! they said its because of the workload but its not true! before they dealt with Iraqi refugees and it never affected their immigration interviews so I am not sure why they delayed our cases!

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ .............

Guys, I think there is one more thing we all need to do......

File a formal complaint against the Embassy with the office of the Inspector General, I heard from another post that they are very responsive, we all should email OIG and forward this information to anyone you know that has filed in Jordan @ Alnahda.

I know you will all be, but as a reminder; please be polite in seeking assistance and explaining your situation.

You can file a complaint online, or by email, information as follows

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

http://usa-faq.civicagency.org/answers/9702

The Office of Inspector General (OIG) in the U.S. Department of State (DOS) receives and handles reports or complaints regarding DOS programs, operations, and divisions, including U.S. Embassies or Consulates.

To complain about the manner in which an embassy or consulate employee treated you, first attempt to resolve the issue with that embassy or consulate. If you are unable to do so for any reason, file a report or complaint online, by e-mail at OIGHotline@state.gov or by mail at:

Department of State
Office of Inspector General Hotline
PO Box 9778
Arlington VA 22219

In addition, you may also file a report or complaint by calling the OIG Hotline directly at 1.800.409.9926 or 1.202.647.3320.
