I agree with you Morganalmonshid94 , I asked about that and we can apply but they not going to issue a visitor visa since we have an immediate relative petitioned for us and our case is completed and just waiting for the interview. So it does not make sense to them. and they gonna rely on 214b of the INA ( that you have to have a strong ties here in Jordan so they guarantee you going to come back while one of the strongest ties is your spouse who is in the U.S.).

Am not saying that they will never give a visit visa, they might but how you can show them you have a strong ties here???!!

I hope today we all get an interview appointments so we stop thinking that way and travel to our soulmates very soon.

if your spouse has a job or house is the only thing I can think of maybe saying that you have done it the legal way and just want a visitors visa to visit while your waiting and that you'll return to do the interview is the only thing I can think of that you can say . Honestly I'm trying to change the country at this point I'm done trying with stupid jordan .

They will not issue a visitor visa for someone who already have a case pending , you could have done that before you filled the petition

you also cant transfer the case, to my knowledge you could only do that if the country you reside in has issues or at war similar to Yemen or Syria

Good Luck!!!!!!! Enshallah soon will hear good news!! Ya Rab!!!!!!

Hello Guys,

Regarding transferring your case: you have to proof that you are a resident of the other country for a minimum of 6-months

Regarding obtaining a visit visa: under normal circumstances; yes the embassy will deny it, given the current workload, backlog, inability to schedule the interviews in a timely fashion, lack of guidance on how long it will take, and our case is complete not in process, I believe the Embassy will be more willing to grant the visit visa.

I have asked my wife to go ahead and schedule the visit visa interview and I will make sure that I am present at the Embassy at the same time.

I will not just sit and wait for another conflict in another country to add to our misery.

Original SD : 01/23/2015

Check List : 04/01/2015

New SD : 04/09/2015

Case Completed: 05/07/2015

Interview Date: 11/10/2015

not true about the visitor thing it is possible and the case transfer is tricky but I've been calling a bunch of embassies and maybe found one that said they'd consider taking the case but I'm still waiting so don't know if it'll work out but I'll give anything a shot .

they won't let you go in with her for a visitor visa only spouse, you'll have to wait outside they wouldn't let me in the few times my husband tried .

yes most of the time it is rejected because they see the I-130 case pending and assume you will stay on the visitors visa . But just because people usually get denied doesn't mean you can't try and get lucky .

Plus you need to know guys that issuance a non-immigrant visa does not guarantee entrance in the U.S. the customes and border protection has the authority to allow or deny entry of some one. You guys will be in the system as an immigrant applicants and if you have a non immigrant visa they might think that you gonna stay and not coming back and deny your entry as a non immigrant status.

I have some good news for everyone of us I hope. The US Consular in Amman Jordan has finally spoke about the problem and is promising to correct the delays. See below

https://mobile.twitter.com/USConsulJO?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

Here is what basically it says

@USConsulJO

We aim to reunite families as quickly as possible and are working to reduce wait times for #immigrantvisa interviews.

@USConsulJO

High visa demand has increased #immigrantvisa interview wait times, but quick processing is a high priority for you and for us.

@USConsulJO

Weve increased the number of #immigrantvisa interview appointments per day and are doing all we can to reduce your wait.

This great news JO, thanks for sharing.

It is a good indication that our efforts have been noticed somewhere, somehow.

Funny enough, the email I sent to the president says, "we need your Help Mr. President - REUNITE us with our families"
