If it makes you guys feel better the embassy in Amman only accepts Yemeni people who are residents in Jordan and have lived in Jordan for over a year. I know this because I tried to transfer my wife's case to Jordan and was denied then after her case was transferred to cairo she was denied entry to Egypt because she is a Yemeni citizen so now we are in Algeria with a interview next week. I understand everyone's frustration but I feel like people on this thread do a lot of complaining and less work. You can blame it on every other Arab country if it makes you feel better but your still not gonna get a interview. It's the consular section that is holding you people up. So when your all sad about not having an interview remember that guy from California that traveled with his wife and 2 infants to 3 different countries and waited 2 years since case complete to get his wife a interview. Good luck to you all because I know how it feels.

Thank you Abu Amina! Why you didn’t transfer your case to Jubiti I heard it’s much faster in processing transferred cases?

As for us Jordanians, we are not blaming other countries but we are blaming the embassy for not hiring additional staff to accommodate with changes in the region and the number of transfer cases.

In this group we have tried everything, myself my parent and husband have contacted many officials in Jordan and tried to connect with local immigration business offices such as Al Nahda with no luck! They know my case by heart know, every time one of my family member try to connect with them! As for here, I connected with three of senators/congressman offices in my region but there is nothing we can do, except that we can hope that in the fall they will go back on scheduling our cases! For our spouses which should be first priority!! Wish us luck!

I would never let my wife and kids stay in Djibouti. It's too crowded and expensive. Plus I had a CRBA appointment for my son in Jordan so I ended up spending a month in Amman in an attempt to ease away all those airstrikes we had to live through. Amman is beautiful anyways so I didn't mind. I'm actually going back to Amman as soon as my wife get her American visa because my sons passport and CRBA are still at the embassy waiting for me to pick them up. The best advice I can give to you is "BE PROACTIVE" immigration offices aren't much help. Go to the embassy and talk to them and explain your frustration. A consular officer usually answers people question at the gate once a day. So go over there and make some noise. Better than nothing

Good morning everyone. I just received a response to the Consular of Jordan here in Washington. They forwarded my email to Consular in Amman. And I to am waiting for my Senator's office to get back to me this afternoon. I am hoping if enough of us get politicians involved they will begin to see that it's bad for business by dragging their feet and hopefully hire some people. As for the above post, Congrats on finally getting an interview after a long fight. However, I believe this thread is for spouses in Jordan if I am not correct? Your input was not asked for. Good luck in the Interview!

Just learned that most if not all Jordanians are getting visitor visas and some are pregnant women who got a free visa and free baby delivery in the US and we pay for all of that from our taxes. On the other hand our spouses are not permitted to get an interview after the embassy got the fees from all of us. This what we get since we are all following the legal path of reuniting with our spouses.

i was just wondering if one was to apply for a vistors visa for their spouse would it interfere with the ir1/cr1 visa ?

Your allowed to the chances are slim to get it is only the issue .

I agree with you Morganalmonshid94 , I asked about that and we can apply but they not going to issue a visitor visa since we have an immediate relative petitioned for us and our case is completed and just waiting for the interview. So it does not make sense to them. and they gonna rely on 214b of the INA ( that you have to have a strong ties here in Jordan so they guarantee you going to come back while one of the strongest ties is your spouse who is in the U.S.).

Am not saying that they will never give a visit visa, they might but how you can show them you have a strong ties here???!!

I hope today we all get an interview appointments so we stop thinking that way and travel to our soulmates very soon.
