I requested to speak to a manager, and five minutes later he is telling me they are all busy , do you like me to file request to speak with a manger and told him No I will call tomorrow! I don't think so, based on what I have been hearing!! its only very few cases being scheduled. I am going to continue calling NVC and asking to speak with a manger to give us more information about the interviews taking place at the U.S embassy in Jordan if any!

Hello guys, I'm sorry for everybody severely pain coz I'm in the same spot, I was wondering about contradiction between NVC and US embassy in amman, I was tracking everybody conversation long time which makes me get in trying to highlight my support to some of u, for example sam89 ur case has been completed since 26 of march and I was tracking the consul twitter profile hoping to see there Making some points to him as long as he claimed that 2 to 4 months is normal and you sam89 ur case went over that normality that consul is alleged, so I recommend u to go on twitter and have a conversation with him about ur case who know he or she might ask ur case number to look it up

I don't think that this will help. I think that if we reach out to John Kerry at the Department of State, that would be better. The embassy is not cooperative enough to provide a realistic picture. I would challenge them on giving visitors interviews in a short period of time while leaving our spouses hanging without any interview dates.

I received the response from NVC to one of the Senators that tried to assist on our case:

Here is their response on the scheduling of the case:

Thank you for your email concerning the immigrant visa petition filed by XXXXXXX on behalf of XXXXXXX.

The National Visa Center (NVC) received this immigrant visa petition and assigned case number AMMXXXXXXXXXX on January 16, 2015. We received all of the necessary forms and documents and completed our processing of this case. XXXXXXX case is waiting for an appointment to be scheduled at the U.S. Embassy in Amman, Jordan. We are unable to predict when this case will be scheduled for an immigrant visa appointment. We determine our scheduling based on the capacity provided to us by the U.S. Embassy. XXXXXX and XXXXXX will be notified by mail or email when an immigrant visa appointment is scheduled. Unfortunately, the NVC cannot provide an estimated timeframe for when an interview appointment will be scheduled.

The Embassy in Amman and several of the other embassies in the area are overwhelmed with work right now. Besides the security situation they are working under, they have been assigned to process cases from other embassies that have had to close and they are also processing refugees. They are doing the best they can in difficult circumstances. You will be notified when your wife’s case is scheduled.

Original SD : 01/23/2015

Check List : 04/01/2015

New SD : 04/09/2015

Case Completed: 05/07/2015

Interview Date: 11/10/2015

WOW!!! So we just have to wait , instead of hiring additional staff to accommodate in this kind of situation!!! this is unacceptable and I am glad they sent this as proof of what's happening since every time I call NVC they simply deny everything

by the way I heard about other cases being transferred to U.S. embassy in Amman, I work at non-profit in Michigan that deals with refugees and immigrants. I have several people saying that their case has been transferred to Amman such as Yemeni which their case has high priority so they process the case in a month and half!!! but we should not be suffering as a result of this! This is unfair and frankly unacceptable

I really honestly wonder, how long will it take till an interview date is schedule. This is just unfair, couples are suffering cause of this.

Okay, I just talked to someone at a Senator office and he was saying that he heard about the U.S.embassy in Amman and how they are not accepting any cases because they are working to complete the Syrian cases since their embassy is closed and all the refugee cases! he was also saying that they are not accepting any new cases! he will try to find more information on how long it will take them to process any future cases and let me know so I will share with you all.
