We Applied in April/May 2015 w/USCIS, first for CR1, then for K3 (Spouse). The CR1 was approved in August, the K3 in September.

The Ds-260 was submitted to NVC in October 2015, the AOS Submitted November (25th).

After the initial 42 days, the case was submitted to a supervisor. That was on January 5th, 2016.

It was submitted again to a supervisor (2nd time) on 02/05/2016 - with a note saying this is the 2nd time it was submitted.

...over our many calls to the NVC, we have heard so many different things...

~Almost ever time "we don't know what's going on with your case for sure, just wait"

~We have heard it was held up because it was going to Amman, which does electronic processing, so that takes longer to convert the files/mail to the electronic system.

~I have heard that that converting files = more time was just "speculation" on one of the rep's part.

~I have also heard, the files are already electronic, because I sent them in via email as an attachment (DS-260 online).

~I have heard (by a man who was sooo rude and didn't let me ask any questions!!) that they didn't receive our AOS - so I have to submit that... although there was mail received on 11/25/2015. (I later clarified with a different rep, that if that's what I sent on the 25th, then that's what's waiting to be reviewed.

~My latest talk with the NVC came up with a new one... they could see that the Approved CR1 Petition and Approved K3 spouse petitions were "merged" by additional "administrative processing, to ensure no papers submitted were lost, as a possible reason as to why it's taken longer than normal. (but CR1 is in effect - K3 is "dead")

~The same rep was the one that re-submitted the AOS to the Supervisor a 2nd time w/the note.

~As of this day, I have been waiting one week and one day for a supervisor call back...none yet. I was ensured I'm still going to get the supervisor call back - but "there's no time frame" .

~~~~~is any of this the same with anyone else?
has anyone ever had any of these things happen?
Sooo....the last NVC call...
The man I spoke to looked at our case, saw how long it had been.
I asked about what the woman said earlier today - about the AOS only having been sent to the Supervisor for the first time on 02/05/2016. He confirmed this was correct, but the woman didn't give me the reason.
The reason is it is taking long to transfer into the electronic system. That means even if a supervisor saw it, they can't do anything with it until it transfers into the electronic system. He said there is a backlog of cases being transferred to the electronic system because the emabassies in the region have a higher than normal volume of cases due to conflict (war in Syria - north Africa).
He did try to get to a supervisor & ask about our cases - he was able to contact them through a back line (not the transfer line - because it was too close to closing time to transfer). They confirmed this. At this time there is nothing they can do, as it will move forward when the files are transferred to the electronic system.
Hello...yes we did.. All of those were in the packet w/the IOS. :) since this was posted, they have completed our case at the NVC... But my wife forgot to put my birthday on a line on the I-864 form :cry:
...I think I saw you (farrahldir) post in the I-130 group on facebook (we're the Ajouly couple) Insha Allah she will travel to me with the original "corrected" I-864 form, or else she will mail it & send a scanned copy.
....Does anyone here have any experience with missing one small thing on the I-864 (like my birthday), and what the embassies do? Or does it really just come down to the person doing the interview?
Just have your correct I-864 in hand at the interview. No big deal.
do u think that's will work with the embassy??? i'm really worry about that !
do u know someone has same Situation ?
thank u so much!
I'm sorry but you really are stressin on something that's of no mater. Just have the updated form. No need to worry over what may or may not happen. People bring corrected documents to interview all the time. That's what the checklist is for.
It's not grounds for a denial if that's your worry.
Needless worry. No such thing sending you back. After Interview is scheduled your petition is sent off NVC has nothing to do with you. If the embassy needs anything from you they will ask it of you. Maybe get a 221g for further documents or whatever. That's why we are telling you take what you know you need to do why delay things. Have it ready and in hand.
I have couple of questions regarding the Police Certificate from Jordan (seems there are recent changes from what I read in this thread):
1) Is it obtained from the Intelligence Department (Mokhabrat) or from Court of Justice (Qadi El-Qudah) or from Civil Department (Ahwal Madaniah) ? or from all the above.
2) Do we need to submit this document to NVC in the states or take it to the embassy for interview?
Thank you
