I just read this:

An original, signed affidavit of support (I-864) from the petitioner and joint sponsor (if necessary), notarized by an American notary public or a Consular Officer at an American Embassy/ Consulate.

Do I have to get it notarized as well? I thought I just sign it?

I have another question about the affidavit of support. It looks like there is a new edition (made in July, 2015), should I send my husband the one I originally filled out and scanned to NVC (back in June) or should I fill out this new form?

they want to see the original one that you have sent to nvc

i mean police certificate

Great the police certificate which issued from general intelligence department is valid for one year so if you have a valid one just bring it with u when u going to drop the package even though they not gonna take it anymore coz they only take certificate of non conviction which is vaild now for 3 months since the issuance date and its in Arabic you have to translate it .
