do i need the ds 260 paper for the interview ?

No you don't have to bring a hard copy ,

((( Effective April 1, 2014, the DS-260, Online Immigrant Visa Application & Registration, will replace the paper-based DS-230, Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration (parts I and II). No paper-based DS-230 form will be accepted after that date. This online form is completed and submitted online to the Department of State via the Internet through the Consular Electronic Applications Center (CEAC). The form may be partially completed, saved online to finish, and submitted later; or the form can be completed and submitted in a single session.))))

I agree with u , even though I asked this question directly to the consul on twitter and he stated that u don't have to bring it, but just to be in safe side bring the confirmation page

well they asked for it when I dropped off my husbands documents and took it . So that's why I'm saying at least that is needed .

I mean you can do that I had it well organized like that too and the guard that took the papers he needed kinda destroyed everything as I watched lol cause he goes through and looks at everything so I mean you can but they will probably mess it up taking in the documents .
