Hello my son now has 2 Passports. Phil. And U.S He was born in PI and we recently acquired his US Passport thru CRBA. When I get my visa, he will travel with me to US for the first time. What passport should I show for him in the immigration people in Manila Airport and at the entry point in the US? Are there fees involve for him? Can anyone here share their experience leaving with their children with dual passport? If it matters, my son is 7 years old. And I would be leaving with an IR1 visa for the first time as well. Need some input please. Thanks.

In Manila you show both as each avails your son to certain benefits and exemptions regarding fees paid. Entering the USA you are required to use the USA passport.

@Hank_ and @Silkafi88... Thanks a lot guys for sharing your thoughts. I feel much better to know there won't be anymore fees involve for him. I just want to be prepared ahead of time if there's any fees or paperwork aside from the passports that i need to show for him. But looks like he's pretty set to go. I just really have to make sure mine goes well too, then. Thanks a lot.

I believe there will still be the Exit Fee, same as you pay, but not the ECC fee.

Thanks a lot. Yes, I expect the Phil. Travel Tax and the Terminal Fees and good to know that there's no more ECC involve for him. I'll just show both his passports, I guess.  Thanks gain.

Having the Philippine passport cancels out the ECC
