The timeframe is not liner - it is simply first come first serve. They might have been working on March 28th on Oct 31st but if they received 1000 applications on March 29th your in for a long wait even if you applied at the start of June. (Houston averages around 800 applications a month)

If you look at the stats the Houston Field Office received ~30% additional applications from April-June compared to what they processed. That would easily add an extra month to the backlog. Add in the slow down around the holidays and you might be looking at 6 additional weeks. Honesty, we applied at the end of wedding session so the increased wait time isn't unexpected.

Waiting sucks - but at least we can work and travel.

**Correction if they are working on April 28th on Oct 31th and they receive1000 applications on April 29th.

Thanks for your analysis, I agree with your thoughts and I looked at their Statistic but look weird here when the guy with PD 30 April have not scheduled yet, and all May filers are waiting too. I know that at this moment I have to wait 4-6 weeks to be next. Houston is suck office. I came there last week for my Infoepass and was talked with a Training IO and he asked for my EAD and receipt of I-485 then later tell me nothing he can help and even forgot to give me back my receipt. And the inside hallway was too crowd and noise, I even did not hear what IO said and he was too. I have a bad experience at Houston office.

We Can't travel at this time, my wife planned to travel for 2 months back to VietNam but now we cancelled because we never know they will call us any time at this moment. I either can't work too, I have 2 jobs offer from Government jobs but they require at least I should have a Green Card instead of this status. I currently work for a private company but really want to switch to a Gov jobs. Hope one day I won't deal with USCIS.

That really sucks. There are some articles online about people getting GC's and even citizenship expedited based on job offers - might be worth looking into.

Yes, you are correct, many people can get GC via their jobs offer, but this is only for someone get talent like super people...And they will also do AOS through fill I-485 and it should take for a while too.

Do you know how long I have been waiting for my GC? almost 3 years and half during US Immigration leaking!.

Interestingly, when I entered using AP last week the CBP officer noted that my GC was approved pending an interview. So I think we are just waiting for an interview spot.

Correct! Because when he pulled your application in the system, it shows your case is ready for an interview. Same my situation, when I submitted a case inquiry, the officer responded to me, my case is waiting for Houston office to schedule my interview. But I found out my case is still at NBC and they have no t sent to Houston.

Keep in mind that, once your case is at Houston, you already got scheduled.

Interesting. I guess NBP schedules the interview and forwards the application.

So we have our interview scheduled for Jan 14 in Atlanta...I had a question about the checklist of docs required.

Do we need the medical exam papers?...does he need to visit a civil surgeon? He had his k1 medical in Oct of 2014 and we filed AOS in June 2015. They took his medical papers at CBP when he arrived. I don't think we have anything else. Does he need to get a new medical?...

Can anyone that's already been to their interview help me out here?...little worried:/ tired of dealing with USCIS and would like for it go smoothly!:)
