Today I received my 10 year green card in the mail. I cannot believe it truly is over! Best of luck to everyone still waiting and I hope to see some familiar faces in 3 years! ?

Goodnight VJ family its been a wile since i post here , actraully since i get my work permit i was so busy but i was keeping track. Most of us on the same line my case status change to case ready for interview since the 7th august thats 4 months and i have not heard a word since then it seem nothing is going on in NEW YORK. Holding the faith my work keep my mind off of the situation.

Hey! Congrats on your approval :) I can't wait until we're US citizens now, lol.

Just go to the social security office with your green card and tell them you had a change in immigration status. The person who did my social security card actually remembered me (because he did the initial one that said for work authorization only also). I was in and out in about 5 minutes and my new SSN card came in the mail a week later, no restrictions on it.

Not yet it's driving me crazy at this point, I filed in July but i do creep up here to check up on you...lol because if you haven't gotten a date yet then there is no hope for me you're pretty much my compass to how soon i will get a date.

I really thought this stress would be over by jan 2016 but from the look of things i will be lucky if i get my GC by march 2016...smh

Yelli, sad to say that June filer is far away to get it done. Many May filers still not get their interview day yet. I have made infopass and call CS and Submit inquiry and all the answers are the same, wait for another 90 days...And They tols me my case is still at NBC and is pending over there. Once it is not in Houston yet means still not process yet! Hope this helps.

There has been an update to the "field office processing dates" today at the uscis website. It now shows the progress as of Oct 31 2015.

I dont trust that timeframe, its not correct, once your case is outside of this time frame, they tell you should wait for another 3 months. I dont know why they are realeasing incorrect one to the public

They're taking way too long. My sisters were asking me why it has taken so long and I mentioned that they're backed up and one of them told me it still shouldn't be this long. But well it has and I'm sure we still got a while to go. This sucks. I was hoping to be done with all this by the end of the year.

Don't trust it either, if it was that timeframe they would be working on June by now but you say they're still in May. I have a feeling that with the holidays getting in the way, it's gonna make it take longer.

The timeframe is not liner - it is simply first come first serve. They might have been working on March 28th on Oct 31st but if they received 1000 applications on March 29th your in for a long wait even if you applied at the start of June. (Houston averages around 800 applications a month)

If you look at the stats the Houston Field Office received ~30% additional applications from April-June compared to what they processed. That would easily add an extra month to the backlog. Add in the slow down around the holidays and you might be looking at 6 additional weeks. Honesty, we applied at the end of wedding session so the increased wait time isn't unexpected.

Waiting sucks - but at least we can work and travel.
