Wow. My lawyer lied to me?? He specifically told me I wasn't eligible for advanced parole. Can I file the form on my own or does he have to do it?

Well I wouldn't say he lied to you... It's possible he just suggested to you to that with AP you're not guaranteed entry into the United States... Which is true.

There have been many successful re-entries (as paroled not admitted) on AP before AOS was completed, although you do run the risk of being denied entry as well. I wouldn't use AP to freely travel on vacation, but if a family or other emergency came up, I would use it and bring proof

My status has been ready to schedule an interview for nearly 2 months. This is killing me!!

Yeah - mine was like that from July 15th to Sept 23rd... I know it's nerve wracking, but you will get it soon hopefully.

Congs!

And what is the letter mention?

Thanks!!! It's basically a check list of what to bring, so it says that your spouse must be present obviously, and then it tells you what to bring. The medical thing if not already submitted (I submitted that, so I'm good), my wife's tax returns (we submitted those too already), her paystubs, and then its very broad when it says anything that establishes a bona fide relationship I believe... I don't have the letter right in front of me. Pictures, bills, insurances, credit cards, etc etc. It also says to bring birth certificates for both of us, my passport, and any immigration documents issued, so the EAD card.

Then at the bottom it says the date and time and address of the USCIS office.
