Just had my Biometrics today. The fastest thing in the world, one step closer :)

Also, as the curious person I am I asked him about the fingerprinting, like why it has to be done so "often", like for visa, for AOS, for 10 green card etc...He said that once in the past USCIS did some extra check on who they'd given green cards/citizenship to, and discovered they had given it to about 2000 ppl who had committed some type of severe crime. So, after that they started with the obligatory biometrics for people like us, which needs to be done every 15 months or so. Learned something new today I guess :)

Question!

Do they take any more pictures after biometrics? Or do they use that same picture for the green card?

I ask because I've been wanting to color my hair (blue lol) but I don't want to come out with crazy colored hair on my green card picture lol

Hello everyone! I'm new to the thread. My I-130 was approved a few years ago when I was up for deportation. My husband and I filed I-485 and I-765 in June. Received the uscis on June 30th.

Biometrics done on July 27th. Received RFE same week and responded immediately. Uscis resumed working on my case on Aug 4th. Haven't heard anything since the! No EAD nor Interview date. This is so frustrating as my husband is now between jobs! We have a 6 year old son together and have been married for 5 years now. Did I mention how frustrating this is?? Does anyone have the number to call uscis?

Morning VJ family I'm officially nervous my status move to interview date in October, my main fear is I just got my work permit and in the process of looking for a job. Me and my wife have nothing together since we live at her dads place and she assist with the mortgage, we can't get a joint account as yet cause chase bank need me to get a us ID FIRST . So all we have is our togetherness pictures. I'm scared that's not enough any advice.

You can use your EAD to get a State ID from the DMV. If that's not enough, find another bank or credit union. What about other important things, like insurance, or personal communications/trips, etc.?

Consider getting a letter from her dad that explains that you both are currently living there, etc.
