So I went to get my state ID today. That was interesting to say the least. The guy at the DMV tried to tell me I can't get my ID with just the EAD, that I had to have my green card. I told him he needs to call someone because I know for sure that I can! He eventually did, and I did get my ID but oh my god was he mean and snotty! I mean I understand not everyone knows the whole UCSIS process and that's ok...but the snotty comments and how mean he was to me was totally uncalled for.

06/29/2015 - fingerprint fee accepted.
06/30/2015 - Received text & e-confirmation of NOA. Case received & routed to USCIS National Benefits Center
07/06/2015 - NOA1 received.

07/13/2015 - Biometric letter arrived mail box. Date 07/24/2015

07/24/2015 - Biometric done. One month mark

08/29/2015 - EAD approved

09/03/2015 - EAD card mailed

09/04/2015 - EAD approval mail in mail box

09/08/2015 - EAD card received.

09/09/2015 - Applied for SSN.

09/15/2015 - Got my SSN in the mail

04/14/2015 - Update online: Your interview has been scheduled for 05/19

Yikes - absolutely uncalled for him to be rude to you. I'm glad you got your ID card though. Is yours only valid for a year?

Yup,just 1 year because it's based off of the EAD card which is only valid for one year. I'm sure once we get our green cards we won't have any problems extending that expiration date...hopefully lol

I see everyone sharing good news so I'll chip in went to apply for my social number on Thursday and I got it today this was fast lol they told me with in 2 weeks. Job hunt begins

uscis sent my ead to my old address, and usps is returning it ( i had set a mail fwding req with usps, but they dont forward uscis mail apparently).

called uscis and the officer created yet another service request to change my address on the file. but no updates yet (5 days since the request)!

sigh :(

I also applied last week wednesday and i got in the mail box today.

Yup,just 1 year because it's based off of the EAD card which is only valid for one year. I'm sure once we get our green cards we won't have any problems extending that expiration date...hopefully lol

Yeah - that and hopefully we can renew online like everybody else!

Just an update... I received notification today indicating that I am scheduled for an interview on Oct. 22

09/12/14 - I-130 mailed (while spouse was permanent resident) to USCIS CSC
09/15/14 - I-130 receipt date
09/18/14 - NOA1 received
02/15/15 - NOA 2 received (approval)
03/15/15 - Letter received from NVC indicating priority date not yet current...

*****This visa was approved for my daughter in June of 2016. She came to the US in July 2016 and received her 10-year green card in the mail.

I forgot to update. Will add the dates soon***** 

 

I-751 - Removal of Conditions 

07/24/17 - I-751 mailed to USCIS > 08/09/17 - NOA Received > 09/04/17 - Biometrics Appointment (I think I did a walk-in in August for this) 

01/22/19 - Update on website says green card being produced
