Morning VJ family can the persons that went to apply for their social number give me a idea of what documents to walk with. I read someone post that they ask for I-94 form.

I got my green card today by USPS priority mail! My interview was Sep. 2, so it was fast process.

My interview was short-about 10-15 mins and my green card was approved during the interview.

I hope everyone in this thread get a green card soon!

Morning VJ family I went to the social security office here on Jamaica avenue , it was so fast 10 minutes and I was out of there. Sad that I have to wait 2 weeks for the card to mail hahahha.

06/30/2015 - Received text & e-confirmation of NOA. Case received & routed to USCIS National Benefits Center
07/06/2015 - NOA1 received.

07/13/2015 - Biometric letter arrived mail box. Date 07/24/2015

07/24/2015 - Biometric done. One month mark

08/29/2015 - EAD approved

09/03/2015 - EAD card mailed

09/04/2015 - EAD approval mail in mail box

09/08/2015 - EAD card received.

09/09/2015 - Applied for SSN.

09/15/2015 - Got my SSN in the mail

04/14/2015 - Update online: Your interview has been scheduled for 05/19

I downloaded the Uscis app but all my status there are old status .ex I-485 saying received evidence but my actual status for that is case ready to scheduled for interview.

Good news on FY 2016,

To all AOS fillers, now you don't have to wait till your visa become current to send I-485, once I-130 is approved you are qualified to fill AOS. I hope this happens earlier for me, my I-130 is approved on 11/2013 but I can't send my I-485, I have to wait till June 2015. ghhhhhh

I-130 sent on 09/15/2013

Priority day is 09/16/2013

I-130 was approved on 11/15/2013

I did wait almost 2 years for my visa available to be able to send I-485.

AOS

I-485 and I-765 were sent on 05/29/2015

A check of $1070 was cashed by USCIS Chicago on 06/08/2015

Biometrics Appointment on July 1st, 2015

EAD is approved on August 10th 2015 (73 days)

Hi all, so I've managed to misplace the interview notice! I know the date and time but will they let us in without the paper? I sent a request for a new one but it said I'd receive a response on October 2, our interview is September 28.

I had to give mine to the attending officer when I got there; I guess that's how they know you're there. Can you make an infopass appointment to get a new one or a printout of your time/date? I would think it is not a big deal if you can't get a replacement (***totally don't know though***). But, if you can't get one, def. still go and explain at the window. They should be able to look you up regardless.

I sent my request to resend the interview notice and it says they responded to the request and closed it. Do I assume they sent a new one? I thought respond meant I should have an email but I guess not. I really don't want to call and sit on hold.

Sounds like they sent another notice. I'd call if it doesn't show in the mail in the next couple of days.
