Received EAD card in the mail today, and applied for the SSN this morning.

Yelli - I was wondering what timeframe they gave you at the SSA when you applied for your card? All I was given today, is a paper with a reference number that says they have to verify the EAD card first before giving the SSN out

Received the EAD/AP card in the mail today! Now tomorrow morning to get his SS Card and possibly drivers license! One more month for the interview and I'm praying for a quick approval!

Lucky You! Interview already! I hope mine will come sometime in October or so.

Just got news that my EAD has been ordered! I assume later today I will get news for AP as well, but even if I don't - it is still great news to wake up to! The app and website were updated, but I haven't received any emails or texts - regardless I'm still happy!

Hope everyone who is still waiting on news receives some this week too!

I have never seen anyones EAD/AP card but I assume it should have a picture of yourself correct? I guess that mean I will have to wait for mine at least until after my biometrics are done in September, since the EAD/AP already gotten approved. I'm happy I am a full time PhD student because all this wait would probably have made me go crazy otherwise :)

Thanks!! So glad this step is over, now - onto the interview wait lol.

And yes, your EAD card has a picture on it... Since you didn't do the biometrics yet, I'm sure it will be one of the pictures that you submitted, and where your fingerprint normally goes, it will say fingerprint not available.

The picture on mine is the one that they took at the biometrics appointment, and there's a fingerprint in the lower right hand corner.

She told me I should get it within a week but to give it 2 weeks and if I didn't get it by then to just come back into the office.

Haven't received it yet but got the conformation of my EAD two days ago! Yay! I already have SSN and a job but yay for when my visa runs out if I don't have a green card then! Plus I'll be going to get state ID once I've got it ... To lazy to take the driving test just yet!

Husband applied for his ss card today. I listened to the guy talk to the people ahead of us and he changed his answer every time, from 7-10 days up to 4 weeks! Lol everything is a waiting game.

I'm so excited for everyone's movement and those of you currently stuck my heart goes out to you.

I'm just stressing about our upcoming interview, I feel like we have red flags in their eyes but I'm hoping they already blew through those since we got an interview so quick and no RFE.

When I got my SS card back on March I had to wait up to 4 weeks and it came just after 3 weeks. I already have a work visa to I've had a SS card since I've been here. They said 4 weeks because they need to double check my information. So hopefully it'll be here soon
