Don't worry. You are still better than me. My field office Santa Ana only shows end of September 2014. It's a 9 month wait ...

Aww man, that sucks even more!

I was hoping to go to Mexico during the beginning of the year but by the way this looks I doubt it's gonna happen. I know I have the AP but I don't want to use it unless it's an emergency.

So went to check out the USCIS processing times and it used to say 5 months for the Houston office, now it says December 17, 2014 so those of you who are from Houston like me, looks like we might have a while -sigh- :clock:

Same for the Orlando office... :/. But these are the dates as of June 30th... So with that in mind, I'm hoping we get called for interviews in Oct or Nov at the latest.

And I agree with you. I wouldn't use AP unless it's a documented emergency.

That's right! I didn't think about that, mine says dates as of June 30th as well. We're almost 2 months ahead so hopefully they're way more ahead by now.

My local office, Pittsburgh, is a 10 month wait for green card. I guess as long as my fiancee has his EAD/AP card, and we are together, it really doesn't matter. But, we are on day 66 so we're still waiting for the EAD/AP card. It's hard to believe we started this journey in August 2013 and two years later, this is the progress we have made.

Just got news that my EAD has been ordered! I assume later today I will get news for AP as well, but even if I don't - it is still great news to wake up to! The app and website were updated, but I haven't received any emails or texts - regardless I'm still happy!

Hope everyone who is still waiting on news receives some this week too!

Thank you neurocticbell - I know how you're feeling right now as so many approvals are coming in for everyone - stay positive and hopefully you hear this week too!! I should also note that I didn't receive any RFEs or notices of changes. My status remained as "received" or "fee received" the entire time......but sometimes no news is good news! :)

My AP still hasn't been approved, but I'm truly not worried because I don't have any plans to travel unless it was an emergency.......lets just hope no emergencies pop up until I do have AP!

"NBC Processing Times

NBC Processing Times is a bit of a misnomer in some cases, as NBC does not determine processing times for I-485 and N-400 applications, which constitute the majority of the NBCs workload. NBC does not determine processing times for those case types because NBC does not conduct final adjudication of those casesa USCIS Local Field Office does. So each Local USCIS Field Office determines processing times for Form I-485 and Form N-400 applications. For processing times on N-400 and I-485 applications, please check local USCIS Field Office processing times."

So I used my EAD to get my state ID at least today as my dear hubby and I are planning to take a trip in few weeks, the last thing I want at the airport is some silly harassments. Now with the Id I can walk freely around the country, pending on when I obtain my GC...

Received EAD card in the mail today, and applied for the SSN this morning.

Yelli - I was wondering what timeframe they gave you at the SSA when you applied for your card? All I was given today, is a paper with a reference number that says they have to verify the EAD card first before giving the SSN out
