So the sad new is I won't be getting my EAD anytime soon. I got a RFE in July and send back the information on the 20th July so now the Uscis is using the 20th July as my day 1 instead of June 9, so my 75 days have to start counting from the 20th July which takes me till September month end or early October. Very sad

U know what's the crazy part is that the request for evidence was for the adjustment of status n since they received the evidence my case jump to ready to schedule for interview and the employment gone to a extra month to approve . Also I saw person on this page got RFE and got the EAD within the 75 days guess this is just my luck .

Am so so sorry but I also got an RFE almost same time with you and it seem like we almost got same timelines, The RFE certainly didn't affect my EAD....Am really surprise that you think that the RFE messed up you time but don't think it"s true. Maybe you should wait till this weekend before you can really conclude on that. Good luck and be hopeful, all will be well

I call Uscis this morning after realizing I'm on day 77 and the person told me they would have started back my 75 day counting from the date they received back my evidence.

I will advise you to call again and most probably someone will pick up with more ear friendly news.....Most of those call takers barely even know what they are doing and they wouldn't want to make a fool of themselves by leaving you hanging on the phone, So they just tell you anything to make you go away.. Try to call back and speak to someone else

It should only pause for the time the ref was being processed, so from the time they mailed it to you to the time they received it back. You may only be about two weeks behind. I'm sure it'll be here soon.

ETA: my EAD finally came in the mail, but apparently GC's are being super delayed from the Lee Summit center, so it is still not being mailed even though card produced message was Aug. 10th.

ROC Timeline:

May 31: Package mailed

June 8: NOA1 received, dated June 2

June 27: Biometrics done

Sept 25: Case Status Update Card in Production

i call back Uscis the guy ask me if I got a RFE for the EAD I told him no I got RFE for the AOS so he took all my information and said he's sending a email to the Uscis office that is working on my case a reminder that I'm over 75 days, he give me a reference number and advice me that if I don't get a call between 15 to 30 days I should call back. But what's clear now is that my RFE for the AOS has nothing to do with my EAD. I think my case is being handle by the office in Long Island and the wait there is more long.

Thanks! I guess what most people are saying is true, no news are generally good news!

Interesting though that AP got approved separately from EAD, but maybe that has to do with the biometrics or something. Just seem like most people get EAD/AP approved at the same time since it's going on the same card.

What does your time line look like Bondigirl0078?
