Where is bubblz? Long time no update from you.

Hello! I am so happy to see everyone's progress. It is encouraging for me and makes it a tad bit easier to endure the wait. :-)

My AOS package was delivered to the Chicago lockbox on June 8th. I received the text/email NOA on June 17th. It was a loooooong 9 days. lol I haven't received my hard copy NOA1 yet. I had to go out of town today for 3 days so I really hope it is in the mailbox when I return.

Even though the email said I should wait until I received the hard copy before going to check my status online, I checked online and I'm glad I did. I saw that though it says the fingerprinting fee for the I485 was received on June 17th, the I130 and I765 notices say they were received on June 9th. So maybe I'm not as far behind everyone as I thought.

I saw some people saying to expect to get the biometrics letter about 7-10 days after you receive the NOA1 hard copy. And I'm amazed that some June filers have biometrics appointments this month. I hope I can be one of them. By the way, I see Yelli's timeline says biometrics appointment for both EAD and I485 on the same day. Does that mean sometimes people have to do biometrics separately for each one?

Thanks in advance and good luck to everyone!

where is bubblz long we in hear from you?

My I-485 case is ready to be scheduled for an interview but no EAD approval yet.

Shacanus, My interview is Sep. 2nd, but my EAD is not approved yet. My online status does not change from "case was received" yet. So, you are not the only one. Some people get EAD after they got green card.

wow then what's the purpose of the EAD if we get the green first?

Yeah - I hear you. Hopefully you get to go see them soon. But I'm in the same position as you are (somewhat). I've lived in Florida since I was 13 years old, so I practically grew up here and I consider the US to be my home, not Canada. I was fortunate enough that we had legal status so I was able to travel back/forth from Canada to see relatives but I could never see myself living there.

It's so funny that your dad says you were born in the wrong country. I've said that so many times hahaha

My visa was good when I first arrived but my parents didn't want to risk taking us and bringing us back so once we came we never left except for my baby sister and only because she wasn't old enough to go to school yet. No matter how beautiful the part of Mexico I'm from is I can't see myself living there either. But do wish to visit those childhood places again and soon :)

Haha yeah and when he said it I was like omg so true lol

Good morning VJF is anyone else having the same experience like me, having your I-485 ready to schedule for interview but no EAD yet?

Mine still only says case received, nothing on the interview yet but glad the EAD is now approved. Hopefully you do hear something from them this week on the EAD. Good luck.

This is why I like this site because we get to compare timelines and that way when we see someone with similar dates get something we know we should get something around the same time as well. It has been a while since she's posted anything, hope everything is going well for her.

Welcome back from vacation! Hope you guys had a great time!

Give it a couple more weeks for any updates on your EAD. I got my email on Friday that mine was approved and my biometrics were on June 30th. As for the I-485 mine hasn't been "touched" since June 10th.

Got another email a few minutes ago from USCIS that my name has been updated for the EAD. Anyone else? Or could it be because they had made that mistake where they put my middle name as my last name and it was submitted to be changed when I did my biometrics?

Got two more emails for the EAD, both saying that it had been approved. So it's like my case is being taken care of backwards lol first I got an email and online status saying "Card Ordered" then "Name Updated" and now says "Case Approved"

Hi all, just wanted to update that my interview today went great. Approved on the spot and online status already updated to card in production. It was really a rather pleasant experience. Very basic questions (verifying information on the forms and the standard where did you meet, etc.). In and out in about 10 minutes :) I still can't believe the processing time on this. I am so excited!

ROC Timeline:

May 31: Package mailed

June 8: NOA1 received, dated June 2

June 27: Biometrics done

Sept 25: Case Status Update Card in Production
