We do have pictures at the courthouse though with friends and family.

ok I did not had a reception as yet planning too and the pictures at the court house was just us and the lady that did the ceremony. We did not invite family since we intend to keep a reception before the interview.

We had our biometrics completed today. The process was very quick and friendly. Both of us were permitted to enter. They also allowed us to make some corrections to our applications on a few errors. We were probably in and out in 15 minutes. Now for the long wait; but it doesn't matter, we are together.

Yeah, not to mention his birthday is only 2 days after Christmas and it was his 1st Christmas so we had to go big on both lol

VJ family I have a question is it require that applicants mush have a reception? I know of someone who was turn down because they had no reception pictures. He then when and did a reception I got thru.

There's no requirement on the reception, but you would need to provide reasonable explanation. For example, you are saving money and have a reception next year or you two just wanted a small and intimacy wedding. Or for asian people, reason could be superstition lol...(the year is not good for the couple or sth like that). As long as you could prove your marriage is bona fide, reception is no issue.

:dance:I-751: Removal of Conditions Journey

Oct 17: Sent package

Oct 24: Received NOA1

Still waiting for Biometrics letter

That is pretty great! Hopefully you'll get scheduled soon! Monitoring the May filers, it seems that EAD approvals are around the ~80 day mark so we should be starting to hear about them in a couple of weeks.

Sorry for the late update...my husband completed his biometrics last Friday (17th) and we were in and out 30 minutes prior to his appointment time. It was pretty empty when we got there and he was called immediately!

We leave for our two week vacation on Thursday so I'm hoping for some great news when we return. Oh who am I kidding, I'm sure we'll be checking daily even on vacation!

So I'm reading a lot of comments/concerns about reception; our wedding was kind of a last minute thing-we had it planned for a month later and then decided last minute to do it that weekend (I couldn't wait lol). So we had a small quick ceremony at the mosque with my husband's brother and friend. We didn't have a reception, we went out to eat and spent the day at home together (the kids went to my parents so we could have alone time). This is our unofficial honeymoon/family vacation to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Sanibel Island; we'll have a ton of pics but nothing that would make it clear that it was more than a family vacation. That should be enough right? This isnt my first marriage, so I wasn't desiring a big wedding/reception at all (I'm so NOT a fancy person or girly that way).

I'm excited to see so much interview movement so quickly! Congrats to all!!
