no I did not send back anything as yet only got the letter yesterday. I have the 2015 HHS poverty guidelines and it says for 4 person is 30,312. but the letter also said base on what we submit its not enough for 4 persons so I'm confused. Yet they asking for evidence of a job letter which incluse how much she working for and conformation that's it's a permanent job.

Oh ok. What did you submit with your package? Did you submit the 6 months of paystubs? The 2013,2014 tax return? If you only sent the 2013 and 2014 tax returns, since your wife wasn't working for half of each of those years, it would show approximately half of the income. That would mean there was no proof that she is earning the $40000. Perhaps that is all it is.

I think the mistake I made with mine is that since I got a joint sponsor, I sent the sponsor's job letter, six months paystubs and 2014 tax return. But I only sent the tax return for my hubby, since he wasn't working for the first couple of months this year and I didn't have six months of paystubs. I guess I should have just sent all paystubs he had. Hopefully that is the reason for my rfe. That's the only thing I can think of.

Day 00 - 6/08/2015 - I130,I485,I765 Package delivered to Chicago lockbox

Day 01 - 6/09/2015 - USCIS records package is received (according to online case status check, though the NOA texts/emails weren't sent to me until 8 days later)

Day 09 - 6/17/2015 - Received text & e-confirmation of NOA. Case accepted & routed to USCIS National Benefits Center

Day 15 - 6/23/2015 - Received 797c NOA letters of receipt by snail mail

Day 22 - 6/30/2015 - Received biometrics appt letter

Day 29 - 7/07/2015 - Biometrics appt

Day 36 - 7/14/2015 - Received RFE for documents that were included and clearly labeled in application package. Will resend required information this week.

That's not good. We put last 6 pay stubs plus last 3 years tax returns. It's really weird that your lawyer wouldn't ask that of you.

Wow. These lawyers are unbelievable! Yep, you were supposed to include at least the most recent tax return. And it says on the form that you can include the 6 months paystubs and/or letter from employer. I wonder if some of the lawyers even bother to read the forms and instructions. Especially since your wife's income listed on the form for the last two tax years would have looked like it was half of what you were stating her current salary is, the lawyer should have made sure to include it and save you this hassle.

Well, I'm sure once you send that stuff, it will go quickly and smoothly.

the lawyer just ask us to walk with her last 3 years tax returns that's it. So until tomorrow my wife will request for a job letter and they Uscis want the letter to include date of employment, nature of the job, yearly salary earned, numbers of hours per week worked and prospects for future employment and advancement. Also include 6 months pay stubs and evidence of other income.

Yeah that's good. I believe your hiccup was the fact they didn't see any proof of her current income. It'll be fine now. :-)

VJ family I have a BIG question. I am filling out a I-864 form for my co sponsor , do i need to also put back my wife information on this form since I already submit a I-864 for my wife? And does my co sponsor have to be a family of mines or my wife or have the same address?

Your cosponsor doesn't have to be a relative or live at the same address. When you fill it out, you need to get your cosponsor's income info just like you did for your wife. Your info is the only info that needs to be on the cosponsor's form. Make sure you have the correct income and household info for the person and if you can, get their 6 moths paystubs and employment letter, too.

Hi Shacanus! Glad your biometrics appt went swiftly and smoothly. Here is when Piano filed.

On a not so happy note.....I got an RFE - a request for intial evidence- text late last night. :-( I think I slept for all of one hour. I just looked through my i485 table of contents. Every bit of evidence that I actually have, I sent, so I don't know what they are trying to say I didn't send. At the rate at which my snail mail turns up, I probably won't know until the end of next week. Does this mean the the entire case is halted? Or just the i485? The text said:

On July 8, 2015, we suspended processing of your case, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx, because we need more information from you. Your notice explains what we need from you to resume work on your case. We will not take action on your case until we receive the evidence or the deadline to submit it expires. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

Noooooooo! Oh :( hopefully it isn't anything big! I haven't read thru all the posts yet....so if you already answered sorry for being such a slow poke on the site...if you haven't said, have you gotten the RFE in the mail yet?
