and what company do you think will offer you 6$/ day in the US? that management will not like to see their self on bar. yup its really different from PI. minimum / hour in US is 8 to 9 depend on the states where you stay...and if you think your skills is capable for the job your applying to why not sell yourself on a higher wages that you want to, above on the minimum that they offer...

what im trying to tell is that if your a new strangers on the country..you cant even jump to a conclusion if you dont have any experience yet. SIR. any way that was just my opinion.

I understand, I just don't want you or other new immigrants to think they need to start at the bottom of the ladder in pay or work just because they are new to the USA.

Go into the workforce with a positive attitude and also believe in yourself and that you are and will be an asset at your job.

Don't sell yourself short, if you do then you are hurting yourself.

Good Luck...

I was looking at certificate courses in community colleges (I assume tuition is more affordable there?) but I notice that they rarely post the cost per unit. In the Philippines, colleges/universities readily post their tuition fees on their website so I'm having a hard time calculating how much my fiance and I would be spending. Can someone give me some sort of an estimate? I was looking at a certificate program in Paralegal studies. Thank you kind sirs and madams!

You don't need a law degree to become a lawyer in California.

You can sit for the bar exam without college education, Check into it........

Yes, but they require you to apprentice or "read the law" with a judge or qualified lawyer for 4 years. It's also this way in Wyoming, Washington, Vermont and Virginia.
