Do i have to make another SSN after having the work permit EAD, since i have SSN before from J-1 visa (temporary work permit)

If you actually would have taken the time to read the replies, you would see that her question regarding SSN (among many others) has already been answered thoroughly.

She doesn't need to apply for a new Social Security Card for now. She has all her documents in her maiden name and she already has a Social Security Card (also in maiden name) that says "Valid for work only with DHS authorization".

And by the way it is called SSA (Social Security Administration) office, and not SSN office.

so that means i dont have to come to the SSA to update my info or show them my EAD ? i am confused since i read Ndidi2001 said like that. i read the back of the SSN card saying if i have this card says "valid for work only with DHS authorization" , i also have to show the EAD if i start working somewhere.

You only have to update the card once you are married, to change your name on it (if you changed your name at all, obviously). Once you get the EAD, you don't have to return to the SSA office. You use the EAD and the SS card together in search of work.

No, you don't have to go to the SSA office to to get a new Social Security Card once you get your EAD. We talked about this in depth yesterday. Since you applied for AOS/EAD/AP in your maiden name and you already have a SSC in your maiden name, the names will match on your Social Security Card and your EAD. Plus, your Social Security Card says "Valid for work only with DHS authorization", which is great because it means it is valid for work with EAD. EAD is the DHS authorization.

Yes, of course you will have to show your EAD once you apply for a job, EAD is the work permit that shows that you eligible to work, so the employer will use it to verify data about you.

SparklyPony, she wanted to change her name, but like she said yesterday, her lawyer gave her bad advice and she ended up applying for AOS/EAD/AP in her maiden name. So she will receive all these documents in her maiden name. So she is all good for now.
