Hi guys! Just an update to our case, might help with timelines and whatnot.

We filed in June, had RFE in July (my father's citizenship proof, I guess they couldn't access his military records because of clearance issues. They had no problem proving my mom's citizenship with military records).

Up until late November, the last status was RFE received, and then all of a sudden BAM, case approved. Card was mailed out within the week, we got it this past Monday.

We never had an interview OR an interview waiver letter. Was a bit shocked.

But they are getting them done! I know the people on this thread are waiting anxiously, but everyone will get approved, I can feel it. We all love our 'imports' (I use that term to kid around with my husband. He's top quality and can sometimes be expensive). ;)

Congratulations!

Hi guys,

I had my interview today in Phoenix and I'm happy to say we were approved hassle free!

We got there an hour early and took a seat with at least ten other couples. Going early was good because the IO looked at our case in advance and must have already decided, because the approval was swift.

We chatted a bit, about work, facial hair (I had facial hair for my AoS pics lol), and my wife's home state. He then swore us in. Confirmed my identity and the spelling of my name. He asked a few of the Yes/No questions. He also asked for my social security number, but I couldn't remember and didn't have the card. He said that wasn't a problem, I could sort it for Naturalization (this is when I knew things were going to be good :) ).

He took our most recent bank statement and a car insurance document has our proof. He didn't look at the hundreds of photos or our will or anything like that.

After that he told us it was an easy approval and he wished us luck. When we got into the car and turned my phone on I got a text saying that my card was in production!

My advice: arrive early as it might help speed things up, and brings stacks of evidence (which i'm sure you guys already know), as he seemed impressed by our folders and without looking in them haha.

Best wishes to those with interviews coming up! :)

Hello everyone, we had our interview today and it went swimmingly well. The interview was pretty easy, and asked very general questions. Asked a few regarding pictures we originally submitted for our K1 visa! So they do look at all that stuff, haha.

Have already received a card production email and text, so things are moving along! See y'all in 2 years minus 3 months. x

I'm here (again) looking for some good news. My husband received a letter from USCIS back in September stating that he's "potentially" waived for the interview, but that they didn't have enough staff to process the applications, so it would be another 6(!) months before he'd hear about approval. UGH. We've been waiting patiently, but in the meantime, he can't get a real job because no employer will hire him without a green card (despite the work authorization). Apparently, employers want as much to do with USCIS processes as we do. So he's working part time at Best Buy in the interim, despite having critical skills that should have landed him a $100K job right off the boat (so to speak). Soooooo frustrating. And the San Bernadino shootings just slow things down more. Anyone else worrying about them freezing the immigration processes?

I saw this morning that they're starting the June 1 paperwork (we're June 1), so I'm hoping that Christmas brings us a green card. Praying, praying praying. Hope everyone's well and moving through the process smoothly.

Hi. I called yeaterday USCIS and Tier2 told me that my case was transferred to another office due to a big workload at DC office. He couldnt give me any detail as to which office it was sent to or any estimate time. He put a request for me and mentioned that i should get a piece of paper in mail by January 5th about my case status. Since we originally belong to the same DC office there is a chance that your case went to another office.

I tried to get an update to the status about a month ago, but they told me that the file is "still within normal processing times", so they wouldn't put anything in for us. It's so frustrating to still be looking at the "Fingerprint Fee was received on June 1" online when we know at least we've possibly been waived for the interview (and yet still can't get any information). UGH. All we can do is keep trying and keep praying. Thanks for letting me know...perhaps you're right and either we've been transferred, or we'll be approved soon. (Insha'Allah)

That is interesting to hear about a case being transferred from the DC office - wondering if there is any chance that happened for us as well. We are in the same boat - got the NPIW letter in September, but still seeing that damn fingerprint fee status from June 4. Argh.
